The restaurant is in Bocmaņa Square in the centre of Salacgrīva and on the banks of the Salaca River. The well-known “Pie Bocmaņa” saloon has been redesigned and features the topic of Baron Munchhausen. The farm grows some 25 types of plants and prepares products from approximately 50 types of plants. Visitors will learn about the use of medicinal plants not just in teas, but also in oils, extracts, tinctures, syrups, etc. These can be used for everyday nutrition. Products can be tasted and bought, and you can help out with the farm’s operations. There is also livestock to view. |

The pub is located in a wooden log building and situated in the suburbs of Sigulda, allowing one to feel the Latvian spirit in the interior and enjoy Latvian-style dishes. The pub has maintained the traditions and quality of Latvian cuisine. The farm, which has been developed around the servants’ home of the former Ķempēni Estate, breeds more than 200 Latvian dark-headed sheep. Visitors can purchase meat, wool and skins, also taking part in informational tours with tastings of various foods, as well as catching and tasting trout (this is available only to those who spend the night at the venue). |

This is a short stretch of the Daugava River valley between Lielvārde and Dzelme, with islands and shallows in the river, as well as with reeds and wet meadows alongside it. During migration season, many goose-type and plover-type birds rest and feed here. The location is also an important nesting area for several other kinds of birds.

In 2006, a wooden pathway was installed across the Planči swamp – 500m long, which means that the visitor will spend around 20 minutes there. This is probably the only nature trail in Latvia for which there are plans to post information in Braille for people with impaired vision.

Takas sākuma punkts ir Amatas novada Ieriķos, 1 km no kafejnīcas, degvielas uzpildes stacijas, Cecīļu dabas takas apmeklētāju centra, blakus autoservisam. Apmeklētājiem ir iespēja izbaudīt cilvēka nepārveidotu dabas ainavu – Dančupītes kanjonu, minatūru ūdenskritumu, no Kumadas upes labā krasta aplūkot iespaidīgo Cecīļu iezi un citus objektus. Taka ir marķēta. |

This arboretum is in a lovely location in the Vidzeme highlands. It covers 140 hectares of land and offers a look at interesting coniferous trees, lianas, lilacs, rhododendrons and peonies. The facility has a modern visitor information centres.
Unique species: The Tulip Tree (Liriodendron tulipifera), the Fringe Tree (Chionanthus virginicus), and the Kobushi Magnolia (Magnolia kobus).

A rare monument survives in Skulte – a Soviet-era jet bomber, the IL-28, which supposedly was equipped to carry winged missiles. The airplane is on three cement pedestals.

This is one of the few workshops in Latvia where things are woven with birch bark. You can look at the objects and discuss the experience of the craftspeople. They will help you to produce simple objects out of birch bark, and those will be excellent souvenirs. |

Салаца с точки зрения водного туризма является интересной рекой, на которой даже в период маловодья будут радовать береговые ландшафты и объекты осмотра, а также многообразие самой реки. Для похода на лодках самыми привлекетельными будут окрестности Мазсалацы и участок Мерниеки – Вецсалаца, где на карте видны топонимы, связанные с заколами. Заколы (лат. tacis) – бывшие места ловли миноги – это та уникальность, характерная только для Салацы на участке реки ниже впадения реки Иге. В наши дни о прежнем существовании заколов свидетельствуют топонимы – Гедерту тацис, Жвигулю тацис и др. Заколы для миног строили в местах, где река самая мелкая, самая узкая, более богата островами и стремнинами, поэтому топоним «тацис» означает также самые интересные обстоятельства для сплава. Сами заколы сохранились только в нижнем течении реки у Салацгривы. Ночлег в основном на стоянках для водных туристов (в палатках). Near the Priedīši homestead, there is a nature trail which allows visitors to study Lake Dziļezers and the surroundings. There are various lakes in this region which are found in a depression left behind by the Ice Age – Lake Dziļezers, Lake Riebezers, Lake Mazezers, Lake Auziņš, Lake Skuja and Lake Bruņķītis are all there. Along their shores, there are various kinds of forests, including ones with broadleaf trees that are under environmental protection. The trail is 3km in length and will take an hour or so to traverse. This is a part of the environmentally restricted territory of Lake Dziļezers and Lake Riebezers.

The key treasure in this park is that it has a lake that is one of the most intensive sites for birdwatchers in all of Latvia. It also features outstanding flora and the shallow waters of the Bay of Rīga. Recommended: Hike along the seashore from Mērsrags to Engure (20 km). See wild domestic animals (horses and cows) on the eastern shore of Lake Engure. There’s a bird-watching tower on the NW shore of the lake (approach from Kūļciems, where you can see domestic animals adapted to life in the wild, including the Blue Cows of Latvia). A bird-watching tower can be found at a place called Jomiņa near Mērsrags, where the seashore meadow is an uncommon biotope

Organic farming principles which maintain the biological diversity of the surrounding region will be explained to visitors during a tour which also offers consultations on environmentally friendly farming. Organic produce is available for purchase, and visitors can relax on the waterside - fishing, enjoying a sauna and making use of local accommodations. A herd of wild cattle can also be observed.

In the house that was renovated due to the initiative of the Craftsmen society of Beverina, it is possible to buy the products of both the district craftsmen and those from further territories, to visit creative workshops and events in order to learn the techniques of differnt handicrafts. The house is both a teaching centre and a marketplace, as well as the centre to popularise the cultural, folk and Latvian lifestyle of the Beverina district. |
