At the end of a wooden footpath in the Planči swamp is a viewing area and place for leisure. This is the place where you can enjoy landscapes of the high-type swamp and breathe the unusual air of the swamp. The Northern Forts of Liepāja are on the edge of the Baltic Sea, and some parts of them have been washed away. This is a small, but very impressive part of the Liepāja fortifications which once encircled the entire town. The underground bunkers of the forts are on two levels, and it’s worth visiting them in the company of a knowledgeable guide from Karosta (tours are organised from the Karosta prison). There’s a car park alongside the forts. It’s also worth walking down the beach for a distance of around four kilometres to the Northern breakwater. On the shore and in the sea, you’ll see two coastal defence batteries and some pretty impressive views.

The campsite is located 77 km from Riga, surrounded by beautiful forest and sea. The range of offers is wide - beach volleyball court, basketball court, windsurfing, table tennis and more. There are tent sites as well as double or quadruple camping houses. There are facilities for people with reduced mobility. The campsite is open from 1 May until 31 October. The Sierštelle factory is in the centre of Ogre, just half an hour from Rīga by car. The local “Police Academy” leisure venue offers cheese-based dishes from Sierštelle, as well as the sale of cheeses. Sierštelle offers 31 kinds of cheese, including savoury and sweet cheeses. One special recipe was born right there in Ogre at the popular Swimming Spa. |

The 11 buildings of the museum feature farm equipment, horse-related equipment, several dozen internal combustion motors, as well as tools used by craftspeople and farmers during Latvia’s first period of independence. The annual harvest festival brings together as many as 2,000 visitors. A harvest festival features special porridge. Groups can take part in a bread programme, watching the production of bread from dough to loaf. |

The Vienkoči Park features one-log objects manufactured by its originator. You can examine mock-ups of the Nurmiži Castle and other buildings including the Sand House, and you can also take part in thematic events. Men can produce equipment to drain birch juice from trees, wile women can try their hand at jewellery making from natural materials. People manufactured one-log objects during the Mesolithic Era, and one-log boats have been used since the 9th century (several of them can be seen at the park). |

Platais Boulder (Wide boulder). You can find it in the rural municipality of Mākoņkalns not far from a
small meadow close to the boulder of Āžmugura. Both the boulders have their legends. Some say that the
boulder of Āžmugura is the part of Platais boulder and the rainwater from its cavity heals the warts.

Nature restricted area includes eastern side of the lake with Lanupe River and North-east and South-east coastal areas. Restricted area has been established for protection of birds and floodplain meadows of the lake. To see the nature restricted area visitors do not have to enter it. There are great view points with wind generators of Grobina on the background from the road Vecpils – Rava – Aistere. Coastal areas which are not included in the restricted area are perfectly suitable for bird watching. There is located the smallest city by its population in Latvia to the South from the lake.
