Holiday house Surfhunt is located only 100 m from the sandy beach of the Gulf of Riga, 70 km from Pärnu. The holiday house is suitable for families and groups of friends who want to go out in nature or participate in active recreation, for example, surfing. This place is special because guests can take their own baskets and go to the field to gather produce, from which they can prepare their own meals.

One of the loveliest apple orchards in Latvia (~10 ha, 30 types of apples) is on the sides of impressive hillocks. During clear weather, you can see the Bay of Rīga from atop the hillocks. The farm is particularly beautiful when apple trees are in bloom. Apples are available for tastings and purchase.

This guest house is in an old baronial estate on the banks of the Neris River.  You will love the landscape, the opportunity to swim in the Neris River, or ride a bike.  The owners are architects who teach classes about ethnic architecture.

The master craftsman uses natural wood to produce furniture and interior design elements. He uses the tree from the tip to the root. Each artwork accents the form and texture of the wood, and the workshop offers an unusual look at wood and people. You can attend educational events and commission and purchase gifts and souvenirs.

Ģipka is a village that once was the site of the first maritime school in Kurzeme.  It was opened in 1869, just a few years after a similar school in Ainaži.  This was a Category 2 maritime school, which trained helmsmen for long-distance trips and captains for short-distance trips.  The school was moved to Mazirbe in 1894.  Before the maritime school, the building housed a different kind of school, and a second floor was added in 1867 specifically for the maritime school.  Today this is a residential building.  During 28 years, the school trained more than 200 professional sailors, and it was of great importance in facilitating ship building in shoreline Liv villages. The Rudeņi farm is in the southern part of the Zemgale lowlands, to the East of Bērvircava.  Established in 1999, the farm specialises in dairy farming with more than 300 cows and an equal number of calves.  It is also a grain farm, with more than 400 ha of land for winter and summer crops, rapeseed and corn.  Farming waste is used for a modern biogas plant that provides energy for the farm.  The owners actively make use of EU projects, one of which allowed it to build a cattle shed for more than 400 animals and a cow milking carousel. 

Baznīca šajā vietā – blakus Livonijas ordeņa pilij (nav saglabājusies) atradās jau ~ 1380. gadu. Tagad redzamais dievnams (patiesībā – atliekas) tika nopostīts pēc 2. pasaules kara un uzspridzināta 20. gs. 70. gados. Tā drupas ir iekonservētas un virs altārdaļas uzstādīts balts koka krusts. Atrodas Salaspils dienviddaļā starp Rīgas HES dambi un ūdenskrātuvi.
