Tāšu – Padures muiža (Tasch – Paddern) celta 19. gs. sākumā kā Korfu dzimtas pils, kas 1852. gadā pāriet Keizerlingu dzimtas īpašumā kā medību pils, kas kalpojusi kā vasaras mītne, un ir izcils vēlīnā klasicisma paraugs. Iekštelpās saglabājušies vairāki senā interjera apdares fragmenti. Pēc pils pabeigšanas, ap to sāka veidot vairāk kā 10 ha lielu parku ar svešzemju kokiem. Šobrīd muižas ēkā atrodas Kalvenes pamatskola.

This nature park is one of the richest and most unusual nature parks in Latvia in terms of its natural resources, the surrounding environment, the landscapes, the biological diversity of the area, and the cultural monuments which are found there. The main treasure there is the little-changed Daugava River valley, where there are eight major curves in the river at a length of four to eight kilometres. There are also the gullies of river tributaries. Outstanding views can be found on the steep shores of the Daugava River valley, particularly the Slutiški and Ververi cliffs and the Elerne gravel hill. There are some 20 archaeological monuments on the shores of the valley -- ancient castle hills at Najene, Markova, Vecračina, etc., countless churches -- the Juzefova, Sprukti, Borovka, Elerne, Sīķele, Kaplava and other churches, the Rozališki, Lielborne and other baronia estates, and the unique village of Slutiški, which is home to the Old Believers. There are interesting nature trails and bicycling trails in the area. Horseback riding is available, and there is a viewing tower along with other elements for tourists. Boating down the Daugava River is an interesting way to spend time.

Atrodas Raiņa ielā 18. Baznīca celta 1911. - 1912. g. pēc Stukmaņu muižas nomnieka barona R. Noldes iniciatīvas. 1. pasaules karā cietušo baznīcu atjaunoja un no jauna iesvētīja 1921. g. Baznīcā apskatāma altārglezna “Kristus augšāmcelšanās”. Dievnams tāpat kā daudzas citas pilsētas ēkas ir būvētas no apkaimē sastopamā izejmateriāla – dolomīta. Interesanti, ka tornis būvēts ēkas vienā malā – asimetriski.

Ein hervorragendes Sakralensemble im Barockstil (17 – 18 Jh.), eine Kirche und ein tätiger Nonnenkloster.

Le Coq, visitors of the brewery museum are invited to get acquainted with the history of beer brewing and beer culture, modern beer production as well as taste the beer. More than 2000 exhibits, opportunity to taste beer and other delicacies in the tavern of museum. You can buy beer and snacks to go with it, as well as souvenirs in the small store of the museum.

No vairākiem parka ūdenskritumiem noteikti ir jāapmeklē divi. 1,2 m augstais vienpakāpes Nemmeveski ir izveidojies uz Valgejegi upes (Valgejõgi), vietā kur tā šķērso Ziemeļigaunijas glintu. Šeit Valgejegi atgādina krāčainu (īpaši – pavasaros) kalnu upi, kas plūst pa vairākus metrus augstu klinšu ieskautu kanjonu. Palu laikā šo upes posmu ir iecienījuši ekstrēmie ūdenssporta veidu cienītāji. Pie ūdenskrituma un tālāk pa upi lejup redzamas ap 1920. g. celtās hidroelektrostacijas konstrukciju paliekas.

Lauku viensēta ar 8,9 ha lielu teritoriju atrodas Alītas rajonā, netālu no Simnas pilsētas pie gleznaina Atesio ezera Atesninki ciemā.100 m attālumā no ūdens ierīkots viesu nams ar 70 gultas vietām. The Dole is the largest island in the Daugava River, surrounded to the Northeast by the rapid waters of the Daugava and to the Southwest by calm and gradually overgrown waters from Dry Daugava.  The island is a specially protected nature park, established in 1986 to protect the landscape and cultural and historical values of the island in the wake of the construction of the Rīga hydroelectric power plant, as well as rare and protected species of plants and animals.  The island is also meant to provide education and leisure for visitors.  Best known on the island is the Daugava Museum, which is in the mansion of the old Dole Estate.  The museum features some 13,000 exhibits that speak to the history of the island and the river – Baltic and Livonian apparel, tools and household objects.  The exhibition also presents the Daugava as an important waterway and the related history of forms of transport and rafters.  In the park is an open-air exhibition with reconstructed lamprey eel traps and a barrier to fish salmon, along with a set of fishing tools.  A dolomite cliff is alongside the museum on the steep shore of the Dry Daugava.  The ruins of the Vecdole castle can be found on the south-eastern end of the island, near Bēči.
