The saloon is in the centre of Jelgava alongside the bridge over the Driksa River, where there is a new shoreline promenade. Wood has been used for interior design, and the saloon regularly organises musical evenings.

The memorial site with a 1936 monument produced by the sculptor Kārlis Zāle is located in Smārde near the Smārde-Tukums road.  It commemorates 38 soldiers who fell during World War I.  Between 1915 and 1917, the front line was near Smārde.  Many men were killed, and they were buried at the local swamp.  It was only after the war that they were reburied in Smārde, Kūdra, Ķemeri, and Sloka.

The estate in Milzkalne that is along the banks of the Slocene River dates back to the 15th century, when it was built as a closed complex for the Livonian Order.  It is the only fortified estate of its type to have survived to the present day, and it was once used as a hiding place for aristocrats during an attack.  The gate towers with their ornate weather vanes were built in the late 17th century, and the ancillary buildings date back to the 18th and 19th century.  A brick wall with firing apertures survives.  The Latvian Road Museum is in one of the wings of the complex, while the former mansion offers accommodations, tours and tastings of local goodies.

You can visit the workshop, watch the craftsman at work, try your own hand at the process, and purchase clay objects, including garden ceramics. There is also a lovely garden to view.

Mooste Manor is located on the Mooste lakeshore. The attractive mansion is complemented by a large number of outbuildings in Historicist style, and a landscaped park in English style. The mansion houses the local school, the woodwork shop has become a guesthouse, the stable of workhorses is home to restorers, the manager´s house is the Centre for Art and Social Practice while the cattle shed is a concert hall today.

The owner of the Russian farm (Vene talu) prepares delicious Russian national dishes according to her grandmother's recipes. Guests learn traditions and enjoy plenty of food. There is also a tea salon, and masterclasses for Russian cuisine.

The owner of the venue makes homemade wine on the basis of traditions that have been handed down from generation to generation. You can taste four different wines along with snacks and engage in philosophical discussions about winemaking recipes. You can also buy the wines.
