This is a simple one-story building with a cross on its roof. The Pitrags congregation was established in 1890, but the church was built in 1902. It was restored after a World War I fire in 1925 and 1926, and restored again during the period of Latvia's restored period of independence. |

In the 19th century at the seaside of Skulte, a small village formed, which was inhabited by fishermen. The name “Zvejniekciems” (Fishermen’s village) arose from the population's main activity. In 1967 the Skulte part of Zvejniekciems was added to the Saulkrasti township. Nowadays Zvejniekciems is the home of Skulte Port, and the rocky beach of Zvejniekciems is located between the port and Saulkrasti Beach, while the village itself can be proud of the creative heritage left by the architect Marta Staņa (1913–1972). |

The owner of the farm grows petunias, geraniums, balsams, asters, snapdragons and other plants, also designing beautiful pots of flowers. She organises seminars on biological farming. Visitors can purchase plants, pick black currants from a bush, and pick tomatoes from a vegetable bed. Tastings are available, and there are rabbits on display, as well. |

Remnants of the plank ways of a fishing port can be seen on the shoreline and
in the sea opposite Mazirbe. They recall the former fishing co-operative Zivs, which
was here in the 1930s.

The stadium was opened in 1938 and has been rebuilt several times since then. Outside the stadium is a memorial stone to honour of Jānis Dāliņš (1904-1978), who set several world records in race walking. He won a silver medal at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1932. The first Three Star Olympiad was held in the stadium in 1993. The stadium is of national importance as an athletics stadium that hosts international competitions and various athletic activities. It is known as the most youth-friendly facility of its type. |

This is a miniature zoo next to a tributary of the Ogre River, and most of it is taken up by a paddock of rabbits. Children just love the animals, as well as the hutches that were designed on the basis of the architecture of estates and castles. There are also goats, pigs, geese, peacocks, mandarin ducks and pearl hens. Children can help in feeding the animals. |

This, the third church at this location, was built in 1906 at the initiative of and financing from Gotthard von Budberg, who dedicated it to his late wife, Gertrude. The Walker company organ in the church was built in 1906 in Ludwigsburg in Southern Germany. In 1992, a memorial plaque to commemorate people from Gārsene who were repressed by the Soviet regime was consecrated at the church. 100 m to the East is a cemetery where we see the legendary chapel of the Budberg dynasty, as well as the graves of the noblemen. The church is open to visitors. |

the previous one; the newest (restored) church in Rēzekne district. The church has a specific icon of Our
Lady that was transferred from the chapel of Rozenmuiža.

The steep shores of Jūrkalne are one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kurzeme. The shores are up to 20 m high, washed by the waves and mostly made of sand and narrow bands of pebbles and stones. Opposite the centre of Jūrkalne is a viewing platform and a set of stairs that lead to the sea. The shore continues in the direction of Pāvilosta and Ventspils. |

This viewing tower is on a narrow peninsula among Lake Lukna, Lake Višķi, and Lake Boltars. From it, you can see all three lakes, the hillocks of the area, as well as Ambeļi and Višķi. Come here when the bird-cherry trees are in bloom!

The Lake Castle of Āraiši is of pan-European importance. It is a reconstructed Lettigalian lake castle from the 9th or 10th century, and it is the only place in the Baltic States at which visitors can learn about how people lived more than 1,000 years ago. The castle offers various thematic events. |

Every traveller in Latvia relates the name of Edole to Edole Castle. The beginning of it dates back to the middle of the 13th century, but the outbuildings of it were constructed in the 16th and 19th centuries, when patio was formed. During reconstruction of the castle implemented in the 30ies of the 19th century the facades of the castle acquired their current – Neo-Gothic appearance. From the16th century until 1920ies Edole Castle was located within the property of a baron family. In 1905 during rebellions it was burnt down, but in 1907 it was reconstructed. Many legends and ghost stories are told about Edole Castle. |
