This study tour is designed to show Latvia's rye traditions as their central focus. This tour has been developed in cooperation with the Latvian Bakers’ Association. Rye is both the basis of the Latvian diet and a powerful symbol of Latvia's culture and culinary traditions. Itinerary emphasize traditional rye bread-baking and eating, as well as insights into the history of the rye grain from Latvia's earliest archaeological record to the present day. Itinerary include visits to working farms, grain mills and culturally and historically important locations. This study tour is designed for groups and may be adapted to the needs, interests and timeframe of each client. Tour cost includes meetings with experts, site visits and admissions, accommodations, specified meals, sightseeing, transportation within Latvia and guides-interpreters. |

Истоки площади Роз уходят в 1911 - 1913 гг., когда на этом месте разбили открытый сад с > 500 кустами роз. В советское время рядом с площадью Роз был установлен памятник Ленину. Восстановленную в 2000 году площадь окружает Лиепайская Педагогическая академия, гостиница «Лива», Центр бизнеса и сделок De Rome (построен в XIX веке, архитектор Пауль Макс Берчи, бывшая гостиница «Рим») и Лиепайский дом латышского общества (камень в основание заложил Карлис Ульманис в 1934 г.). По бордюрам грядок роз размещены памятные знаки городов содружества Лиепаи. К площади Роз подходит улица Зивью (Рыбная), получившая свое название от когда-то существовавшего рыбного рынка. На улице Зивью находится Аллея славы латвийских музыкантов (с 2006 г.), где установлено 35 плит с бронзовым рельефом ладоней музыкантов, 10 плит, посвященные популярным латвийским музыкальным группам, а 5 – ушедшим в мир иной. Здесь же установлена самая большая гитара Латвии. |

The holiday houses are located near Lake Ieva, 30 m from the lake shore. On the 1st floor of the holiday house - lounge with fireplace and glazed veranda, sauna (50.00 EUR / evening), small kitchenette, toilet. Outside-small terrace overlooking the lake. On the 2nd floor there are 2 isolated rooms and 10 beds. By the lake - a fireplace, a well-groomed swimming area with a footbridge. Boats and catamarans can be rented. |

The former building of the State Bank is at A. Pormaļa Street 11 in the centre of Jēkabpils. The 1931 building was erected in the style of Classicism, and the interior has been preserved to this very day. The Jēkabpils branch of the SEB Bank occupies the building at this time. |

This institution offers a look at characteristic rituals that relate to environmental transformation, as well as at ancient Baltic faiths. Family and calendar celebrations are held here, including weddings, hen parties, consecration, mid-winter activities, etc. Some of these are pagan festivals. Pilsētas aizsargdambi upes labajā krastā (1830. - 1841., autors kara inženieris P. Meļņikovs) cēla ar mērķi aizsargāt pilsētu no applūšanas. Dambis stiepjas 5,6 km garumā. Pēc 1922. g. postošajiem plūdiem uzsākta aizsargdambja celtniecību arī Daugavas pretējā - kreisajā krastā. |

The local museum offers an interesting and extensive exhibit related to World War II at the Kurzeme fortress and the fate of Latvian soldiers who took part in the war. There are also exhibits related to the history of World War I and World War II, complete with a collection of civilian and military objects. Among them – a YI-2 airplane, an armoured personnel carrier, a Red Army tank, and all of the trenches and bunkers of the relevant era.
