This path is found on the right bank of the ancient Abava river valley. The visitor will be able to view places where underground streams create wetlands, various kinds of meadows, a stand of juniper bushes, etc. The area is “managed” all year long by “wild” cows. The shore of the ancient valley can be climbed (some 200 steps), and the view is magnificent. It is recommended that the trail be visited in the company of a knowledgeable guide. There is a shorter path that is 600m long, along with a longer one that is more than a kilometre in length. It will take an hour or so to traverse it. Objects are found in the ancient Abava valley nature park.

This farm has 36 ha of land and is near Latvia’s border with Belarus. It raises goats and obtains some 10 tonnes of milk from them each year. The milk is processed at the farm, which offers cottage cheese, cream, various kinds of cheese, homemade ice cream and meat products. Tastings are offered, and visitors can help to do the work at the farm. The farm is part of the Latgale network of culinary heritage and is a biological farm. |

Adamovas Manor (ancient name –Adamhof, Odumova) is the cultural monument of the state importance.
It has two well preserved buildings of the 19th century. The Manor was built in 1851. Landlords
Korfs, Žemčužņikova and Karaulovs were the owners of the manor. There was discovered a mineral spring
in 1905. It was named in the honour of St. Helena. Mineral water gained the highest awards in London in
1912 and in 1913 in Paris. Currently, there is no mineral spring anymore. However, there is Adamova sanatorium
boarding-school for children with psychoneurological illnesses. A modern sports complex was built
in 2006 for organizing national sports competitions. We offer sauna, conference rooms, boat rental, and accommodation
for 120 people.

The boiler house of Karaosta has been used for decades to ensure heat for the city of Liepāja. Although it is part of the heating network, the facility is not guarded and has largely been abandoned.

The tower of St John’s Lutheran Church in Cēsis, which is one of the oldest stone buildings in Vidzeme, offers a view of the historical centre of Cēsis, and a wide area all the way to Zilaiskalns Hill. There is also the western tower of the ruins of the Cēsis castle, one of the strongest fortresses of the Livonian Order in the Baltic region, and it offers a grand view of the castle’s park.

Lamprey catching and processing traditions started long ago in Carnikava, in the place where the River Gauja enters the sea. Šajā laikā top lugas, stāsti, dzejoļi un rakstnieces atmiņu triloģija. No laukakmeņiem celtā „Sprīdīšu” ēka uzbūvēta 1840 g. Te sākotnēji darbojušās ūdensdzirnavas, tad skola, dzīvojuši mežziņi. Tagad šeit aplūkojams rakstnieces memoriālais muzejs. No „Sprīdīšiem” var uzsākt garāku pastaigu pa Tērvetes dabas parku, kur izvietoti no koka darinātie A. Brigaderes pasaku varoņi. |

Zosna (Veczosna) Manor. The building is surrounded by a small park near the bank of Lake Rāzna.
There are 39 different species of trees and bushes. It was built in 1870 by the order of duke Goļicins. It is
one of the rare truss buildings in Latgale.

The potter is happy to welcome guests, offer them tours and demonstrations, and allow visitors to help in producing ceramics. Particularly interesting is the opening of the kiln, and pottery can be purchased at the site. |

The wooden tower was built and stands 28 metres high. It is at the top of the highest hillock of the Northern Courlandian Highlands – Kamparkalns Hill (175 metres above sea level). The tower offers one of the loveliest views in the region of the hillocks of Talsi. On a clear day, you can see all the way to the Bay of Rīga and Talsi. |

The tour from Riga to Tallinn combines natural, cultural and culinary heritage and includes lovely landscapes and 15 nature trails which cross marshlands, meadows and forests along the shores of the Baltic Sea. The itinerary brings you directly to where local specialities are produced so that you can enjoy them freshly made and authentic. You will watch lamprey being prepared for you on a grill, and you will savour treats such as home-made ice-creams where they use eggs from happy hens of the farm, smoked meat from local farms, and many others. On this tour, you will become a true expert of the traditional and modern Latvian and Estonian cuisine. As the farms producing foods are often located in beautiful nature areas, you will combine culinary and nature experiences on this tour. There are many nature trails equipped with viewing towers for birdwatching. Randu meadow near Ainaži contains one third of Latvia’s entire plant species. A boardwalk leads through reeds to a viewing platform with views over the meadow and the sea. Saaremaa Island has a great variety of natural attractions that are different from those on mainland Estonia. There are dolomite cliffs, juniper heaths, a meteorite lake and rocky sea shore. The tour passes rural farms and traditional villages typical of the coastal areas. Hiiumaa Island is a laid back place and retains a very Estonian atmosphere with an important bird reserve at Käina Bay, unusual Sääre Tirp, as well as several small islets off its south-eastern coast.
