The “Baldone Sauna for Friends” weekend house offers families, couples, good friends and small groups rooms for leisure amidst a mighty forest of beautiful fir and pine trees during the summer and the winter.  Fans of sauna rituals can enjoy a sauna according to the Latvian style, with aromatic herbal teas, a salt or coffee scrub, and a bucket of cold water for contrast.  Outside is a tub of hot water for leisure and conversations during which the tops of the pine trees, the moon and the stars can be watched.  Guests have access to a large living room with a fireplace and a well-appointed kitchenette.  There are four bedrooms – a yellow one with six single beds and a double bed, a lavatory and a shower; as well as violet, reddish and green rooms with double beds that share a lavatory and a shower.  There is room for as many as 18 people in all.

Atbraucot Pie Putniem pavasarī, blakus atpūtas mājiņai būs bērzs, no kura tecēs sulas, ar ko veldzēties un attīrīties. Vasarā varēsiet lasīt mellenes, vēlāk izbraukt ar riteņiem pretim krāsainajam rudenim un slēpot vai slidot pa Kaņiera ezeru, ja Latvijā uznāks kārtīga ziema.

Kaislīgiem kalnu slēpotājiem Milzkalns ir 20 minūšu braucienā ar mašīnu. Savukārt putnu vērotājiem būs ko darīt visu cauru gadu, jo pie Kaņiera ezera ir 2 putnu vērošanas torņi.

Adventure Club Žīguri is also located in the area. The aim of the association is to popularize the gentle use of North Latgale recreation resources. The house is located in Salacgriva 200m from the river Salaca. It is divided into 3 fully equipped apartments with separate entrances. Located 15 minutes from the sea and 10 minutes from the store. There are three suites - two for seven people and one for five people. The apartments are well-equipped, with a terrace, garden, bicycle rental and various amenities. In addition, it offers a house with 7 rooms, a large kitchen and two bathrooms.
