On December 11, 2020, the winners of the competition "New Tourism Product 2020" in Latvia organized by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) were announced. The first place was awarded to the tourism product nominated by Vidzeme Planning Region – the long-distance hiking route Forest Trail (Baltic Forest Hiking).

The project "A model for sustainable tourism in Central Asia: Building capacities, creating awareness, introducing technology" (MOST) team has created an introduction video for this project. It gives an insight of what is planned as well as for whom the project is meant for.

EU-funded SWITCH-Asia Programme Project MOST aims to support tourism MSMEs and associations as well as local and regional authorities in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan towards a new model of sustainable tourism based on the sustainable production and consumption patterns. This will be achieved through the provision of a life cycle and supply chain management approach to sustainability interventions in tourism, covering issues that range from support for regional policies & planning, adoption of standards, introduction of value chain concepts, to the awareness of relevant stakeholders, highlighting in this way the multi-stakeholder nature of tourism sustainability and the great benefits that will arise through the engagement and cooperation of all stakeholders.

Vom 17. bis zum 26. Januar 2020 nimmt Lauku Celotajs auf der Messe “GrüneWoche” in Berlin teil, die seit 1926 dort jedes Jahr stattfindet. Die Grüne Wocheist das weltweit größte Branchenforum, auf dem Länder aus der ganzen Weltihre Lebensmittel, Traditionen und Kultur vorstellen.

Die   Messe   bringt   Lebensmittelhersteller,   Tourismus-Fachleute,landwirtschaftliche Unternehmer und Besucher zusammen, die sich für allesrund um Landwirtschaft und Ernährung interessieren

The programmes allow visitors to experience four unique and different ethnographic regions where authentic traditions are still part of peoples’ everyday life. They are: Setomaa region (Estonia), Kihnu island (Estonia), Suiti cultural space (Latvia) and the Livonian coast (Latvia) presenting UNESCO heritage in the following ways:

UNESCO proclaimed Intangible Cultural Heritage:

• SETO LEELO, Seto polyphonic singing tradition;
• KIHNU cultural space;
• SMOKE SAUNA tradition in Võromaa;
• SUITI cultural space.

On the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Latvia: the LIVONIAN Cultural space. Livonian community has made a commitment to prepare a nomination for UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Тропа Балтийского взморья является частью маршрута походов на длинные дистанции Е9. Она проходит вдоль побережья Балтийского моря: начинается в поселке Нида на границе между Литвой и Латвией и финиширует возле Таллинского порта в Эстонии. ~1200 км тропы Балтийского взморя разделены на 60 отдельных этапов пешего пути (12–25 км). Маршрут каждого дня описан во всех подробностях. Кроме того, три разворота путеводителя посвящены островам Эстонии, где путешественник может продолжить поход или отдохнуть, наслаждаясь культурой, историей, кулинарией и предлагаемыми услугами. Руководство издано на 5 разных языках (латышском, английском, русском, немецком и эстонском).

Встречая столетия государственности Латвии, мы, ассоциация сельского туризма “Lauku Ceļotājs”, выпустили карту туристических маршрутов, приглашая ознакомится с 7 маршрутами становления государственности Латвии: Даугавский путь, Путь света, Путь свободы, Балтийский путь, Путь Мары, Путь Екаба, Путь ливов. Эти пути позволяют ознакомиться с поворотами истории Латвии, личностями, местами и событиями, способствовавшими образованию государства и становлению национальной идентичности.

Издание состоит из карты Латвии на которой отмечены и коротко описаны 7 путей становления государственности Латвии, 80 характерных объектов осмотра с краткими описаниями а также 85 хозяйств получивших знак культуры "Латвийское наследие".
7 путей становления государственности Латвии созданы в рамках программы посвящённой столетию Латвии. Главным посланием празднования является "Латвия - это я", ставя акцент на то, что главная ценности Латвии это люди. Люди, которые своей каждодневной работой создают настоящее и вместе с новым поколениям ставят основы будущего.

Aufgrund der grossen Nachfrage hat der Landestourismusverband Lettlands “Baltic Country Holidays" ("Lauku celotajs") wiederholt die Broschüre „Lettische Gerichte und Getränke“ herausgegeben. In dieser überarbeiteten  un aktualisierten Fassung der Publikation geht es um traditionelle lettische Gerichte und moderne Küche. Sie soll Ihnen als Inspiration dienen eine kulinarische Reise nach Lettland zu unternehmen. Auch vor Ort wird sie Ihnen während des Restaurantbesuchs beim Bestellen der kulinarischen Spezialitäten der Region eine grosse Hilfe sein.

We have come up with five new touring routes that offer colourful holiday experiences across three Baltic Sea states – Latvia, Estonia, and the South Coast region of Finland. The itineraries combine city and rural experiences offering the best highlights in each country and UNESCO heritage in all its diversity - from Art Nouveau architecture in capital cities to traditional smoke sauna in Estonian countryside. The countryside attractions are specialised in hospitality service and offer insight in small self-sustained farms, local food, arts and crafts, and nature while staying at comfortable guest houses, rural estates with gourmet restaurants or charming country homesteads that make you feel happy in simplicity and sincerity of real country life and home-made meals.

Am 18. November 2018 wird der lettische Staat sein hundertjähriges Jubiläum feiern. Die Hundertjahrefeier ist das ehrgeizigste Ereignis in der modernen Geschichte Lettlands. Mehr als 800 verschiedene Veranstaltungen in Lettland und 70 anderen Ländern auf der ganzen Welt sind in den Jahren von 2017 bis 2021 geplant. Durch Hauptereignisse der staatlichen Entstehungsgeschichte und Persönlichkeiten wird Geschichte Lettlands erzählt.

Der lettische Landestourismusverband "Lauku celotajs" hat  neue Tourismusrouten zum Bereisen und Kennenlernen von Lettland erstellt und veröffentlicht. Es sind 7 Wege der Staatlichkeit  - Weg der Liven, Jakob-Weg, Weg der Freiheit, baltischer Weg, Weg der Daugava, Weg des Lichtes und Mara-Weg.
