The “Rozītes” rose garden is found in the Sēme Parish in Kurzeme, and it covers a bit less than 3 hectares. There are more than 3,000 rose plants in the garden with 300 different varieties. There are also perennials and rare trees in the garden. Visitors will enjoy three lovely ponds which have fish in them, but they are meant more for beauty and relaxation. You can watch the fish from the terrace, walk across a flower island, and go to our amphitheatre to listen to relaxing music. On a hot summer day, visit the “water rock” to hear the bubbling sound of the surrounding water. Daila and Bruno Trubiņš will be happy to give you a tour of the garden and tell you all about the plants and how to care for them. You can purchase rose and perennial plants. Each June we organise a Rose Festival with an extensive programme for adults and children alike. Visitors are welcome to taste rose jam and drinks made of rose petals. We can host seminars, concerts, weddings and photo sessions. The garden is open from May until the end of September, and we particularly welcome visitors when the flowers are in full bloom. Viesu nams "Purgaiļi" atrodas skaista meža ielokā Smiltenes novadā. “Kārkļu osta” is a family campsite on the banks of the Daugava River 4.5 km from the Koknese castle ruins. There are 10 ha of land for private events, sports events, consolidation events, camping and master classes. There is unhurried relaxation for family members or friends. A large (6x12m) tent is available for events on the banks of the river. It can accommodate between 40 and 60 people. There are also two leisure huts with four beds in each of them. There is space for picnics, tents and trailers, with a lean-to with a table, a grill and a place for a campfire available, as well. There is electricity, fresh water, lavatories and a shower. Should you wish to go fishing or rowing, we have three Amber 365 bots that you can rent with a Honda 2.5hp gas engine. SUP boards are available, and the campsite has a football pitch, a volleyball area and a novus table. |

There are four campsites for accommodation, located above the water on piles. All cottages are heated, with separate shower and toilet, TV and wi-fi internet. Two of them have a kitchen, and one has a fireplace. Each cottage has three or four beds. Tents and camper sites are also available, and tents can be rented on site. |

An der Kornkammer (101 Jahre alt) sind alte Werkzeuge der Hanffaserbearbeitung ausgestellt. Hier kann man leckere Produkte verkosten und kaufen, sowie eine spannende Reise in die Geschichte der Hanfzüchtung unternehmen. Der gewöhnliche Hanf ist eine alte Kulturpflanze in Lettland, die hier seit mehr als 1000 Jahren angebaut wird. Kaltene is home to a memorial house that has been set up in honour of Andris Kārkliņš, who was known as the first internationally recognised flamenco guitarist of Latvian origin. Known as Andres El Leton, he was a composer, poet, writer and photographer. Visitors will learn all about the artist’s life and work via audio and video recordings. Up on the second floor of the building is a small creative workshop (SIA “Rakstu Raksti,” where people produce applied arts items such as folk costumes, linen products, accessories, souvenirs, etc. They sew apparel and home textiles from linen and other natural materials. The workshop has floristics specialists, and it accepts orders on sewn, knit and crocheted products. Master classes are also available. Visitors will enjoy local produced foodstuffs from the Roja Administrative District (fish, wine, cheese, conserves, jams, teas, etc.). Handicrafts and souvenirs are available for purchase. |

Der Hof „Vilki“ ist Arboretum und Baumschule zugleich, gelegen inmitten der landwirtschaftlich geprägten Landschaft Semgallens in der Gemeinde Svete. Den Besuchern werden Führungen durch das Arboretum und das Territorium des Hofs geboten, wo man 1000 Pflanzen der verschiedensten Arten und Herkunft besichtigen kann. Gezüchtet werden Zierbäume und Ziersträucher, mehrjährige Blumen, Heil- und Gewürzpflanzen. Es gibt einen alten Obstgarten, wo die alten Apfelsorten und andere entsprechend gekennzeichnet sind. Zudem wird Beratung bei der Grünflächengestaltung geboten. Auf dem Hof kann man auch die alte Rasse der Lettischen Blauen Kühe antreffen. Für Besucher steht hier ein Picknickplatz zur Verfügung. |
