“Kārkļu osta” is a family campsite on the banks of the Daugava River 4.5 km from the Koknese castle ruins. There are 10 ha of land for private events, sports events, consolidation events, camping and master classes. There is unhurried relaxation for family members or friends. A large (6x12m) tent is available for events on the banks of the river. It can accommodate between 40 and 60 people. There are also two leisure huts with four beds in each of them. There is space for picnics, tents and trailers, with a lean-to with a table, a grill and a place for a campfire available, as well. There is electricity, fresh water, lavatories and a shower. Should you wish to go fishing or rowing, we have three Amber 365 bots that you can rent with a Honda 2.5hp gas engine. SUP boards are available, and the campsite has a football pitch, a volleyball area and a novus table. |

The watermill of the Krape Estate is found on the Lobe River in the Ogre Administrative District. Owners offer tours of the mill so that you can learn how the old mill operates. You can stroll along the banks of the river or learn about plants in the meadow. There are places for tenting, but the main operation here is the production of elixirs from meadow plants, production of soy wax candles, production of etheric oils and hydrolats, a well as growing trout and African catfish that can be viewed during the season. A new thing is SPA services with floating, a halotherapy salt beach and an aromatherapy steam system. Floating is a unique way to boost your health. You’ll be dipped into a warm magnesium salt solution, which will allow your body to relax completely in physical, emotional and intellectual terms. A biological farm in the lovely nature park of the Ogre River valley. You can tour the farm to see how biological cattle from the Charolais breed are bred. You’ll also learn details about how to grow and pick raspberries. A special mood is created by a cupola tent at the farm which offers visitors a chance to enjoy and unrivalled surrounding landscape. This biological farm (Bio 05-049-2008) grows berries such as strawberries and summer and autumn raspberries, as well as vegetables and grains. Visitors can pick and eat berries and look at the garden. The owners also breed cattle and have a store at which biological vegetables and fruits from the farm itself and from others can be bought. During the hay season during the summer visitors can spend the night in bales of hay.
