 Den Bau des Hauses begann 1924 Jānis Čakste (1859 -1927), der erste lettische Staatspräsident (1922 -1927). Zu seinem 140.Geburtstag  1999 wurde im Haus „Auči“ eine Ausstellung über sein Leben und Wirken und seine Familie eröffnet. Man kann das Arbeitszimmer Čakstes besichtigen und im Ausstellungsraum Arbeiten von Jelgaer Künstlern.

The viewing tower is in a seaside meadow near Mērsrags. It is an unusual type of biotope in Latvia and is located to the North of the Mērsrags port. The tower offers a good view of reed-filled meadows, areas where wild cattle have grazed, and an amazing wealth of different kinds of plants.

After a big storm in 2005, the nature trail of the Randu meadows was restored. It is about 4 km long, and there is a bird-watching tower which offers a fine view of unique shoreline meadows with small lagoons and areas of reeds. It is a fine place to watch migrating birds. Das ist eine gerade Straße, die sich durch die Ortschaft Ķemeri von Nordwesten nach Südosten dehnt. Der Straßenname zeugt davon, dass diese Straße die Grenze der ehemaligen historischen Regionen Livland und Kurland ist. In der Nähe der Kreuzung der Robežu Straße und der Tukuma Straße kann man das ehemalige Gebäude der Apotheke sehen, das als eine Erinnerung aus der Zeit des ehemaligen in der ganzen Sowjetunion bekannten Kurortes ist. Auf der Wand des Gebäudes hat sich die mit der Apotheke verbundene Symbolik erhalten.

Atrodas Vecpiebalgas dienviddaļā pie Inešu ceļa. No sarkanajiem ķieģeļiem būvētā ēka uzcelta 1887. g. par vietējo iedzīvotāju saziedotajiem līdzekļiem. Vairāk nekā simts gadus šī ir vieta, kur vecpiebaldzēni pulcējas uz nozīmīgiem notikumiem, svētkiem, uzturot novada kultūras mantojumu. Ворота (1688 г., отреставрированы в 1954 г.) служили в качестве сторожевой башни сквозных ворот Приекульской господской усадьбы, где проводился досмотр торговцев (таможня), отправляющихся или приезжающих из Литвы. Интерес представляет родовой герб баронов Корфов выполненный в XVIII веке из голландского песчаника, с серебряным ядром и своеобразный маскарон в центральной части фасада. Во времена баронов в нишах по обеим сторонам стояли двухметровые, выполненные в камне, грозного вида фигуры стражников - солдат. Сегодня на их месте стоят деревянные фигуры стражников.

Der Ukri – Wald an der Grenze des Dobele – Gebietes ist als riesiger Wald bekannt. Es gibt Eichen (es sind viele riesige darunter), Linden, Eschen (große Bestände an Eschen sind in Lettland ungewöhnlich) und andere Laubbäume. Ein kleiner Teil des Waldes kann in Begleitung eines Führers durchquert werden, der die Tiere des Gebietes und ihre Bedeutung für die Natur erklärt. Das Schutzgebiet schützt die Waldbiotope, Pflanzen und Tiere, einschließlich vieler Arten, die für den Süden Lettlands typisch sind.

Wooden slat weaving workshop is located in Jelgava county, Sesava parish. Craftswoman is making different type of wooden slat baskets and basketry from pine, linden, aspen and black alder.

There are several different categories of baskets, available in different sizes - picknick baskets, baskets for berry and mushroom picking, trays, baskets for firewood, laundry baskets, onion / garlic baskets, baskets for kids, and diverse baskets for daily use. Various inscriptions and drawings are also made on the weavings. They also accept orders for individual orders. In the workshop it is possible to see the wooden slat basket weaving process as well as have the opportunity to learn to make your own basket.
