Cidery tourism offer for visitors and tour operators
The “Tālava” drinks producer in Aizkraukle Municipality welcomes guests all year round by advance booking. Both individual visitors and groups can take a tour, which is led in Latvian or English by the owners themselves. During the visit, which lasts about an hour and a half, guests see the production facility, learn the producer’s story and taste the drinks together with snacks. Non-alcoholic apple cider and a hot apple drink with cranberries are also offered.
At Christmas time, gift sets with treats from local producers are offered; these can be adapted and personalised according to the company’s wishes. The ciders have won awards at international competitions, including the “International Cider Challenge”, “Japan Cider Cup”, “SISGA” and others. The products can be purchased on site at the production facility and in the online shop, as well as in the largest retail chains throughout Latvia.
