We stayed in Ziedkalni for 4 days this summer and would highly recommend the location. We enjoyed the loneliness and the beautiful landscape in the natural park and were happy with the rooms and especially with fresh food from the garden and great homemade cake. Laima and her family made our stay unforgettable and were good guides to the Kolka region. We also enjoyed cycling to the sea side, traditionnal sauna (pirts) and massage. It's no problem to travel to Ziedkalni by bus (coming from Riga), but you should know that without a car you might feel a little lost in the middle of nowhere if this is not what you're searching for to really relax in a wunderfull environment. |

My family and I stayed at Ziedkalni between 21-22 June 2012, and we all had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this cottage, which offers a great base from which to explore north west Latvia. The cottage had everything we needed, the rooms were spacious, and there is a lot of space outside for children to run around, including a sand pit and swing. We took advantage of the BBQ and bonfire to enjoy a lovely evening outside. |

We had a brilliant time at this lovely cottage. Very clean, pretty and plenty of bedroom space. The gardens are spacious and pretty and our dog and our daughter were very happy roaming around. The sauna was great - Laima kindly prepared bunches of home-grown herbs to use (as well as giving us bowls of tomatoes, courgettes and cucumber form the garden - delicious). The area is very peaceful, quiet and scenic. I would highly recommend this cottage to others. We hope to return again soon. Thank you very much!
