We stayed in Ziedkalni for 4 days this summer and would highly recommend the location. We enjoyed the loneliness and the beautiful landscape in the natural park and were happy with the rooms and especially with fresh food from the garden and great homemade cake. Laima and her family made our stay unforgettable and were good guides to the Kolka region. We also enjoyed cycling to the sea side, traditionnal sauna (pirts) and massage. It's no problem to travel to Ziedkalni by bus (coming from Riga), but you should know that without a car you might feel a little lost in the middle of nowhere if this is not what you're searching for to really relax in a wunderfull environment.
