Canoeing in Gauja National Park

Latvia (8 days)
1st day / Arrival in Rīga
Arrival in Riga .
Transfer from the airport to the hotel.
Overnight in *** hotel in Riga.
2nd day /  Rīga - Valmiera
Breakfast at the hotel.
Riga city excursion by feet and by bus.
Transfer Riga - Valmiera (2 h).
Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Valmiera.

3rd day / Valmiera - Bīriņi
Breakfast at the hotel.
Canoeing on the river Gauja: Valmiera - Bīriņi (~20 km), sites en route: different sand stone cliffs and springs: Jumara valley, brook of the Pabrenča spring, Dukuļu spring, Liepas rock.
Dinner and overnight in a guest house in the surroundings of Bīriņi

4th day / Bīriņi  - Cēsis
Breakfast at the guest house
Canoeing on the river Gauja: Lejas Ozoli - Cēsis (24 km), sites en route: different sand stone cliffs and springs: Sietiņiezis – the biggest outcrop of white sandstone in Latvia, Rāmati rocks, Eagle rokcs etc.
Cēsis town sightseeing - the new castle and the Livonian Order stone castle ruins, the ancient ornament smithy.
Dinner and overnight in a guest house in surroundings of Cēsis.

5th day / Cēsis - Līgatne
Breakfast at the guest house.
Canoeing on the river Gauja: Cēsis - Līgatne (18 km), sites en route: different sand stone cliffs and holes, the castle mount of Kvēpene and the wooden ferry of Līgatne.
Dinner and overnight in a guest house in Līgatne.

6th day / Līgatne - Sigulda
Breakfast at the guest house.
Possibility to walk along the Līgatne Nature park hiking trails where wild animals of the Baltic region can be observed in special enclousures.
Canoeing on the river Gauja Līgatne - Sigulda (21 km), sites en route: different sand stone cliffs and the castle of Turaida.
Dinner and overnight in a guest house in Sigulda.

7th day / Sigulda - Rīga
Breakfast at the guest house.
Transfer Sigulda - Riga (1 h).
Leisure time in Riga.
Dinner and overnight in *** hotel in Riga.
8th day / Departure
Breakfast at the hotel / Transfer to the airport.
