Quality assessment schemes in England

The presentation will share with you the way in which the National Quality Assurance Standards (Accommodation Grading) is operated and managed in England. The presentation will last for 30 minutes with time for questions and answers. The following details as shown below:

Introduction of VisitBritain
- This section will cover who VisitBritain are, what we have responsibility for including key objectives.
- This will also cover some key statistics relating to Tourism in England

Rural Tourism in England
- I will share with you the value of Rural Tourism in England and show you some of the types of accommodation currently on offer throughout England.

The Schemes & How theyWork
- This section covers the grading schemes which fall under the National Quality Assurance Standards along with the structures currently in place to effect     delivery.

How do we Deliver
- I will share with you the day to day experience of an Assessor (Inspector), explaining in detail what an assessor has to do, how they approach the work     and what the industry benefits.

How to Develop a New Scheme
- This section looks at how we go about developing a new set of standards from conception, through research, development, training and introduction.
