The small Andrupene swamp is found to the North of the Andrupene Farm Museum in a deep area between hillocks.  It is a high-type swamp with an open central part, and it is 130 m long and 120 m wide.  There are stands of white alder alongside the swamp.  In 2009, the administrators of the Rāzna National Park restored a wooden educational pathway that had been established originally by the Andrupene Elementary School.  Today there are stairs, a viewing platform, wooden pathways, and information stands.

Der Hof des Brauers befindet sich in einer der reizvollsten Gegenden von Litauen, die mit ihren Wäldern, Seen und Burghügeln auch als die litauische Schweiz bezeichnet wird. Das Bier der Marke Čižas ist leicht, ungefiltert und nicht pasteurisiert und nach dem Rezept der Großeltern mit Waldhonig hergestellt. Der Brauer hat nicht nur das Rezept geerbt, sondern auch das Zubehör und so hat er in seinem Hof eine Ausstellung mit altem Gerät zum Bierbrauen eingerichtet.

6 km südwestlich von Iecava befindet sich das Elternhaus von Eduards Virza (mit richtigen Namen: Jēkabs Eduards Liekna) (1883-1940), in das der Schriftsteller zusammen mit seiner Frau Elza Stērste 1901 zurückkehrte. Virza war einer der berühmtesten lettischen Dichter und Schriftsteller des 20. Jh., Publizist und Übersetzer von Poesie. Im Haus „Billītes“ entstanden viele Gedichte, und 1933 auch das legendäre Werk „Straumēni“, in dem das Leben des lettischen Bauern geschildert wird. Jetzt befindet sich im Haus „Billītes“ ein Virza-Museum. Dessen Begründer sind die Tochter des Schriftstellers Amarilis Liekna, deren Sohn Edvards Liekna, Tochter Anna Žīgure und Enkelin Diāna. Nach vorheriger Anmeldung können Besucher sich mit den Museumsexponaten und dem Werk von Virza bekanntmachen.

Das Museum für Pferdewagen befindet sich im Beigut Pilkuse. Zu den Exponaten gehören Pferdewagen und -schlitten sowie Zubehör (Krummhölzer, Kummet, Schellen, ebenso Schlittendecken und Moorschuhe für Pferde). Hier sind Kriegs-, Nothilfe- und Feuerwehrwagen. Der originelle Handwerker ist ein Vertreter einer Töpferschule (Pūdnīku skūla), die  die Traditionen ihrer Vorfahren fortsetzen. In seiner Werkstatt "Malny Wylky" (schwarze Wölfe) kann man diesen überlieferten Prozess sehen, angefangen bei einer fußbetriebenen Töpferscheibe bis hin zu einer speziellen Brenntechnik in einem Holzofen in einer Brenngrube. Man kann bei der Arbeit zusehen oder fertige Waren kaufen. Vēsma malt Ölgemeinde und zeigt ihre Arbeiten.

Atrodas Vārtājas ielejas labajā krastā un labi saskatāms no Priekules – Grobiņas (P106) ceļa. Senās kuršu zemes – Piemares pilskalns, kas vēstures avotos pirmo reizi minēts 1253. gadā – līgumā starp Kurzemes bīskapu un Livonijas ordeni. Viens no lielākajiem Dienvidkurzemes pilskalniem. Iespējams, ka iepriekš – arī sens kulta kalns. Pagājušā gadsimta sešdesmitajos gados veiktajos arheoloģiskajos izrakumos konstatēts, ka pilskalns bijis apdzīvots jau vidējā dzelzs laikmetā. Pie tā konstatēta liela senspilsētas vieta.

The road trip from Vilnius to Rīga will take you to the most beautiful and important sightseeing places of the
Forest Trail in Lithuania and its southern part in Latvia. You will start your tour with the visit of the capital city – Vilnius, then you will go to the historic resort town of Druskininkai, meandering through the town following the route of the Forest Trail. You will then visit the Dzūkija National Park, Merkinė Mound and the resort town of Birštonas, situated in the territory of Nemunas loops regional park. Further you will reach the second largest city in Lithuania – Kaunas, walking through the city along the route of the Forest Trail to finally reach the Panemunė forest. You will then walk along the beautiful banks of the river Nemunas to Vilkija, which boasts of its unique ferry service.

Next on the route is the Dubysa Regional Park, which includes the spectacular Dubysa river valley, historic churches and mounds along its banks. Be prepared, since the terrain of this area is rather rolling. Next, you will visit the town of Šiluva, which is a Catholic pilgrimage site, and then travel to the Tytuvėnai Regional Park, where you walk the natural trail of the lake of Gilius, which is part of the Forest Trail. The tour will continue in the Kurtuvėnai Regional Park, where you will walk one section of the Forest Trail from Kurtuvėnai to Šaukėnai, leading along small forest trails, educational trails, beautiful tree alleys and through wetlands. Then you will go to the region of Samogitia, visiting Telšiai and walk one of the Forest Trail sections along Lake Plateliai.

Next, the tour takes you through the stone town of Mosėdis to Latvia, where you will stop over to have a walk on one of the oldest towns in Latvia – Aizpute, enjoying its 19th century wooden architecture and the local wine brewery. Next you will take a small walk along the Forest Trail in the eye-catching Kazdanga manor park and drive on to the most beautiful town of Kurzeme – Kuldīga. At the end of the tour, you will walk a section of the Forest Trail along the Abava River Valley Nature Park and nature trails in the Ķemeri National Park.

Абава – это река с самой впечатляющей древней долиной в Курземе. Она есть и остается «классикой» Курземе. На Абаве несколько выраженных стремнин, обычно в местах, где в ее русле и по берегам появляются небольшие обнажения доломитовых пород. На участке между Веги и Рендой падение реки уменьшается и она становится более спокойной.
Абава на участке от Кандавы до Сабиле является одной из редких рек Латвии, на берегах которых доступен очень многообразный спектр услуг, связанных с туризмом. Перед тем, как сесть в лодку, по меньшей мере несколько часов стоит посвятить осмотру Кандавы.

This is one of the largest high-type swamps (6,192 ha) in Latvia, with very distinct landscapes of little lakes and hillocks.  The Great Ķemeri Heath is of importance as an extensive hydrological system and preserver of the local microclimate.  It is also of international importance as a site for birds, as well as a major source of sulphurous water.  Along the Kalnciems-Kūdra road, which is on the eastern edge of the swamp (3.4 km from the Rīga-Ventspils highway), there is an information stand with information about the management of the heath and about the role of swamps in nature and in the lives of people.  Great Ķemeri Heath wooden pathway trail is now restored and opened for visitors in 2013.

Усадебный комплекс Швекшна представляет собой один из красивейших архитектурных ансамблей во всей Жемайтии. Вокруг усадьбы разбит великолепный парк. Обе части парка соединены широкой парадной лестницей, украшенной вазами. С лестницы открывается прекрасная панорама водоемов нижней террасы. На острове посреди центрального усадебного пруда все еще стоит скульптура богини Дианы. На главной аллее парка восстановлены нарядные солнечные часы, ваза на пьедестале, статуя Св. Комплекс отдыха расположен на берегу искусственного водохранилища, на территории имеются две бани - Большая и Малая. Здания Большой  и Малой бани предусмотрены для проведения торжеств и различных мероприятий. Вместимость Большой бани до 40 человек, в летний сезон - до 60, а  Малой бани - до 20 человек.

Кроме бань предлагаются 20 мест для всевозможного отдыха: столики, гриль, места для палаток, волейбольная площадка, прокат лодок и водного велосипеда.
