Его экспозиция отображает жизненный путь двух выдающихся людей Латвии – Эмила Дарзиньша (1875 – 1910) и Яна Судрабкална (1894 – 1975). Музей предлагает послушать музыкальные произведения Э. Дарзиньша, проводит экскурсии для индивидуальных посетителей и групп, а также тематические и музыкальные вечера.

This is an uncommon landscape for the Kurzeme region with a protected biotope – open inland dunes with meadows of silver grass and forests of deciduous trees, including the common hornbeam. Tourists can visit the Muiža (Lejas) sacred stream on the right bank of the Sventāja valley, above which they will find Latvia’s most noble bird-cherry trees. A nice reed pergola has been installed above the stream. Wide are of Sventāja River valley can be overseen from the road before the stream.

Gar Grobiņas ūdenskrātuvi (Ālandes labais krasts) izveidota mūsdienīga un labiekārtota pastaigu un atpūtas vieta - promenāde, uz kuras izvietotas plāksnes ar Zentas Mauriņas un Jāņa Raiņa citātiem. No promenādes paveras labi skatu punkti uz Skābaržkalnu un Grobiņas pilsdrupām. Grobiņas ūdenskrātuves sašaurinājumā pāri Ālandei ved neliels tiltiņš, kas ir bijušā Liepājas – Aizputes šaursliežu dzelzceļa tilta ferma.

Впервые упоминание о Ливаны, как о крупном населенном пункте, встречается в 1533 году,  когда тогдашний землевладелец Ливен основал поместье и назвал его своим именем -  Ливенгоф. В 1678 году здесь возвели первую католическую церковь. Город сильно пострадал во время обоих мировых воин. Название Ливаны связано со стеклянными изделиями. В 1887 году здесь был построен стекольный завод, который в наши дни прекратил свою деятельность. 

The first wooden Catholic church in Dagda was built in 1705, while the church that is seen today was built in the Baroque style during the latter half of the 18^th century, the work financed by a local nobleman.  Important interior elements include the altar, the pulpit, the organ, a monument to the Hilsen dynasty, etc.  To the North of the church is historical Dagda itself, with typical red brick buildings from the early 20^th century that are known as the former homes of Jewish merchants.
