Cidery tourism offer for visitors and tour operators
The “Herbsts” cidery in South Kurzeme Municipality welcomes guests all year round by advance booking. Both individual visitors and groups can take a tour, which is led in Latvian or English by the owner himself. During the visit, which lasts about an hour, guests see the production rooms and taste ciders together with snacks in a specially arranged tasting area.
The story of “Herbsts” cider began in an old apple orchard, about 60 years old, but the owner also looks for special cider flavours in the wild, using wild apples. That is why the cidery’s ciders have their own slightly wild character of western Kurzeme. Alongside cider, the cidery makes the non-alcoholic drinks “Dārza Spritz” from fruit, berries and apple cider vinegar. The products can be purchased on site at the cidery and in the online shop.
