We staid in Saulesstari cottage for 5 days and all was wonderful ! The owners hospitality was perfect. The accommodation was very convenient with lots of space, a fireplace, a big and well equipped kitchen, a lack for fishing and beautiful surrounding. I certainly recommend it.

Ļoti nekorekti no viņa puses,ja bija kādas pretenzijas vajadzēja mums to paziņot kad pats bija atnācis.

We would like to make a complaint about the Saulesstari cottage, where we planned to stay from August 13th to August 19th. We liked the landscape in Saulesstari cottage and the house. As I told you, the problem was the dirtiness. We are used to travel in France and in Europe and used to rent for short or long time cottages, apartments, studio, or rooms in very different style and standing. The Saulesstari cottage could be a nice place, if it was well-kept. It was not only neglected, but really unhealthy so dirty it was. To give you a few examples:

The garbage in the kitchen was full, smelling and had no lid. The sink and the fridge were very dirty, with mildew in the fridge and black marks.

The electric kettle was so dirty outside that I opened it to check how it was inside: kind of cockroach or worms were crawling out. Floor, carpets were also dirty. The cooker didn’t work when I tried it, and the young girl (maybe the owner’s daughter?) couldn’t make it work neither. The frying pan was so old and used that she suggested bringing another one. Everything was so evident that she just could do anything but recognize the situation. She said “the boy was supposed to clean but he didn’t”. And that’s all. We’ve never seen an adult, except when we left: a man was in the garden of the owner house (maybe the owner himself) looking at us leaving. Apparently unhappy and disdainful.

I stop here my description because I think it’s enough to refuse to be treated like that.

I hope you believe me, I am not exaggerating.
