On March 29, 130 rural tourism entrepreneurs – members of the rural tourism association “Lauku ceļotājs” – met at the pre-season general meeting in “Smuku muiža” in Remte parish, Saldus municipality.

In a determined atmosphere, the association's new marketing initiatives and newly developed tourism products were discussed: a walking tourism route along the sea coast, the inclusion of traditional agricultural heritage in tourism, attracting the Japanese target market, etc. The practical side was also discussed - energy efficiency solutions for buildings. The mutual exchange of experience was enriched by the tasting treats taken along, testifying to the generosity of rural entrepreneurs and the excellent quality of the products produced by small entrepreneurs.
