National partisans commanded by Rihards Pārups were very active during World War II between Vietalva and Jaunkalsnava. The team was disbanded in 1946. The dugout is at a location that is hard to find and access. It is in the nature reserve of the Veseta Wetlands Swamp. The wood pathway that leads from the East is often hidden by reeds during the summer. During the fierce winter of 2010, the roof of the dugout collapsed, but local enthusiasts plan to reconstruct it. Alongside the dugout is a white cross inscribed with the names of the partisans who lost their lives here.

Das Wirtshaus befindet sich am Rande der Straße Liepaja – Ventspils (P111), an der erneuerten hölzernen Brücke über den Fluss Riva. Das Thema der Innenausstattung ist das Meer. Im Herbst kann man aus den großen Fenstern beobachten, wie Lachse über den Mühlendamm springen. Lettische Küche: Kalte Suppe, Kartoffeln in der Montur, gebratenes Flunder- und Kabeljaufilet, gebratener Hering in Sanddornmarinade, Schweinefilet mit Steinpilzen, Bratwürste mit eingelegten Zwiebeln, graue Erbsen mit Speck, Kartoffelpüree, geschichtetes Roggenbrot-Dessert, Haferflocken mit Schlagsahne. |

Auf dem Bauernhof Epi auf der Insel Saaremaa werden Obst- und Beeren-Ketchups produziert, verschiedene Marmeladen hergestellt, Gewürzkräuter und Tees angebaut. Die Produkte werden nur aus lokalen Rohstoffen der Inseln Saaremaa und Muhu hergestellt. Die Produkte kann man direkt im Bauernhof kaufen. |

Das Ferienhaus befindet sich am östlichen Ufer des Sees Lubans und bietet eine weite Aussicht auf den größten See in Lettland. Die Wirte bereiten Speisen aus frischen Süßwasserfischen nach den Rezepten der Vorfahren und nach selbst kreierten Rezepten. Lettische Küche: Brei mit hausgemachter Marmelade, Fischsuppe, Brachsen- oder Hechtfrikadellen, geräucherte Karpfen, geschmorte Stockente, geschmortes Hirschfleisch, Milch mit Waldbeeren. Das besondere Gericht: Im Ofen gebackener Zander mit Kartoffeln oder Gemüse. |

Der Bauernhof wurde an der vom deutschen Baron von Hahn 1847 erbauten Wassermühle eingerichtet. Auf dem Bio-Bauernhof werden Dammhirsche und Forellen gezüchtet sowie Obst und Gemüse angebaut. Der Gastgeber ist ein Winzer, der mit großer Sorgfalt jedes Getränk zubereitet. Es werden Verpflegung, Führungen und Verkostungen angeboten. |

Es wurden sechs Standpunkte mit Informationsständen gestaltet, auf denen der See, der Wald, die Wiese, die Dünen und das Moor (Aussichtsturm) vorgestellt und die Prozesse in der Natur dargestellt werden.

Pussalas pils pirmsākumi ir meklējami 14. gs. Tajā laikā minētā pils bija viena no lielākajām šāda tipa aizsardzības pilīm. Pēc Traķu un Viļņas ieņemšanas 1382. g. pils kļuva par Ķēstutu (Kęstutis) - Lietuvas dižkunigaišu dzimtas dzīves un valdīšanas vietu. 1655. g. Polijas – Lietuvas lielvalsts un Krievijas kara laikā pili nopostīja. Līdz mūsdienām no iespaidīgās celtnes (aizņēma 4 ha platību) saglabājušās tikai no laukakmeņiem celtā aizsargmūra un torņu paliekas. Tās iekšpagalmā ir apskatāma efektīvā viduslaiku ieroča – katapultas atdarinājums. |

In der Kornkammer und in der Käserei des ehemaligen Landgutes von Sieksāte (Berghof) ist ein Museum (seit 1985) eingerichtet, wo man den Weg der Milchherstellung von der Kuh im Stall bis zu den fertigen Milchprodukten verfolgen kann. Jeder Besucher kann das Melken ausprobieren, Butter schlagen und das selbstgemachte Produkt verkosten. |

Found at Rīgas Street 22A, this impressive building was suggested by Latvian President Kārlis Ulmanis and built in 1936 and 1937 after a design by the architect Verners Vitands. It is seen as one of the most outstanding architectural monuments from the first period of Latvian independence, and it is said that it was once the most modern multifunctional building in all of Europe. The building now houses the Daugavpils Theatre, the Latgale Central Library, the Latvian Cultural Centre, the Latvian House, the US Information Centre, the Daugavpils Tourism Information Centre and other institutions. Unity Square is alongside the building, and beautiful compositions of flowers are nearby during the growing season. |

There are three large lakes at the centre of this park – Lake Dusia, Lake Metelys, and Lake Obelija. Lake Dusia has very clear and transparent water, and its southern and south-eastern beaches are popular among swimmers. The lakes and their nearby wetlands are important during the migration season of birds.

Puša Manor - Chapel was built in the end of the 18th century; it is located
in the Pušas Manor park that was built in the middle of the 19th
century. Both are permanent local architectural monuments.
