Auf dem Hof Adzelvieši wird Hanf angebaut, aus dessen Samen Hanfbutter und grob gemahlene Zukost hergestellt wird. An der Kornkammer (101 Jahre alt) sind alte Werkzeuge der Hanffaserbearbeitung ausgestellt. Hier kann man leckere Produkte verkosten und kaufen, sowie eine spannende Reise in die Geschichte der Hanfzüchtung unternehmen. Der gewöhnliche Hanf ist eine alte Kulturpflanze in Lettland, die hier seit mehr als 1000 Jahren angebaut wird. Eines der ersten Unternehmen, das angefangen hat, großfrüchtige Moosbeeren und Heidelbeeren in Lettland (seit 1997) zu züchten. Im Moor von Kalni, wo früher Torf gewonnen wurde, wachsen Moosbeeren, Heidelbeeren, Himbeeren und Erdbeeren. Besucher können Beeren sammeln, verkosten und kaufen, sowie an Führungen teilnehmen. Es ist empfehlenswert, die Produktionsabteilung des Unternehmens Very Berry (ungefähr in 3 km Entfernung – in Dārzciems) zu besuchen, wo Säfte, Sirupe und Getränke hergestellt werden! |

The “Pie Daugavas” glamping site is on land which has been passed down from generation to generation on the banks of the Daugava River and on the boundary between Jaunjelgava and Sērene. There are eight furnished glamping tents to rest in comfort on the banks of the river. The tents are 5m wide and 3m high, with carpeting to soothe your feet, a comfortable mattress that will ensure comfort for your back, as well as an easy chair into which you can sink with a book in hand. Electricity and WIFI will keep you linked to the outer world. You can reserve a Latvian-made jacuzzi with a wood-fired internal stove and installed hydro-massage and LED lighting. A spherical cupola tent with 65 m2 is also available. A new aspect at the tent in the summer of 2023 was a series of concerts on the banks of the Daugava. |

The “Priedītes” Mini Zoo farm is in the Limbaži Administrative District and offers visitors a chance to get close to farm animals. Learn all about each kind of animal and its habits. Visit our rabbit garden where you will see some 40 hopping around, though there are some 100 in all. There are dwarf goats, sheep, a cow, some chickens and special tinker horses from Ireland. Horseback riding is available. |

This well-appointed campsite is on the shore of Lake Usma and in a lovely and neat forested area. Come and relax in heated huts which accommodate six people with all modern conveniences. The guesthouse has a fireplace hall, a sauna, and four rooms to spend the night in. You can take a countryside sauna and rent a jacuzzi. The venue has a volleyball court and a basketball hoop. You can rent rowboats, motorboats, canoes, catamarans and SUP boards. A ferry called “Ņiprais” offers rides around Lake Usma. There’s a playground for children, good places for tents, and very good places for fishing, berry-picking and mushroom hunting. The campsite is in an advantageous place in that several towns in Kurzeme are nearby. |

While in some European countries natural bogs have almost disappeared, you will be able to enjoy walks full of silence in pristine bogs in Latvia. No cars, people, bells and whistles surrounding you. It is the best antidepressant in the world and a great place to recharge. Bogshoes are like snowshoes – except you wear them in bogs when there is no snow. Bogshoes have been used to walk on wetlands throughout the times. These footwear allow us access to the places where it is hard or even impossible to reach by foot. |

Das Erholungsheim „Baltās anemones“ befindet sich an einer landschaftlich sehr reizvollen Stelle, am rechten Ufer der Lielupe in der Nähe von Mežotne. Vom Staudamm im Fluss neben dem Erholungsheim hat man eine hervorragende Sicht auf den Aufschluss von Ziedoni am linken Flussufer und auf die Dolomitsteine im Park von Mežotne auf der rechten Flussseite. In den Hängen zur Lielupe sind Beete angelegt, wo Gemüse angebaut wird: Kürbisse, Gurken, Salat, Tomaten, Rote Beete, Kartoffeln und auch Gewürzpflanzen. Zudem wurde ein Garten mit Obstbäumen und Beerensträuchern angelegt. Neben einem breiten Angebot im Hofladen werden Führungen durch die Felder des Hofes angeboten. |

"Aldara alus darbnīca" ir modernākais alus muzejs Baltijas valstīs un pirmais Latvijā. Alus muzejs atrodas vēsturiskajā Aldara kvartālā – Sarkandaugavā. Pēc vērienīgas rekonstrukcijas, vēsturiskās ēkas atjaunošanas un alus ekspozīcijas izveides, muzejs savas durvis vēra 2015. gada maijā. Muzejs izvietots trijos stāvos 800 kvadrātmetru platībā. Muzeja interjerā ir akcentētas vēsturiskās liecības, tā lepnums ir autentiskā alus vārītavas zāle, kas neskarta saglabāta kopš 1938. gada. Tās senie alus vārīšanas vara katli ir retums, kas saglabājušies līdz pat mūsdienām. Izmantojot jaunākās tehnoloģijas, senajos vārīšanas katlos interaktīvā veidā ir iespējams izpētīt četru galveno alus sastāvdaļu – ūdens, apiņu, iesala un rauga – burvību. Alus muzejs "Aldara alus darbnīca" labi papildina ēkas otrajā spārnā izvietoto alus darītavu, kas ikdienā brūvē pašas izsmalcinātākās Aldara alus šķirnes. Aldara alus darbnīcas viesiem ir iespēja izzināt Latvijā un citviet pasaulē brūvēto alus šķirņu dažādību un šarmu, iepazīties ar alus brūvēšanas noslēpumiem, kā arī pašiem nogaršot dažādus alus veidus. Die Betriebsstätte befindet sich auf halbem Weg zwischen Rauna und Smiltene. Die Besucher können die Betriebsräume in einem Keller besichtigen, wo der sprudelnde Birkensaft produziert und gelagert wird. Dabei wird über den Birkensaft erzählt und Videos zur Gewinnung von Säften im Frühjahr gezeigt. Verkostung von Birkensaft, sprudelnden Getränken und Sirup aus Birkensaft. Es wird auch Löwenzahnwein angeboten. Die Produktion von Birzī hat ein Bio-Zertifikat. |

Im Handwerkhaus „Sauleskalns“ kann man im Brot–Workshop lernen, wie man Roggenbrot und Sklandrausis backt. Die Wirte erklären, wie man Roggenbrot in einem Elektroherd backt, teilen das Rezept und den Sauerteig. Das Gästehaus bietet Unterkunft, Saunen und Möglichkeiten der aktiven Erholung. |

In 2015 owners of ''Zeltlejas'' started to develop the first sea buckthorn plantations, but in 2018 the area where the sea buckthorn is grown for berry extraction was 24 hectares. Only one breed of sea buckthorn trees with high oil and carotenoid content is grown in the garden. But strawberries are grown in the greenhouses, that's why they are ripen already in the spring. Various events on different topics like healthy eating, cooking, gardening are also organized. |

DabaLaba is in one of the places in Latvia that has the very lowest population density per square kilometre. There are huge forests around our venue with lots of animals, clean rivers and lovely forest lakes. DabaLaba launched operations in 2010 by renting boats. The next season we set up an archery range and started to offer guided tours of the surrounding environment – hikes, safari trips down the forest roads of the “Ance Swamps and Forests” restricted area, interesting, merry and lovely moments outdoors, hunting with your camera, as well as special trips for schoolchildren. Boats and SUP boards can be rented in Irbe, Rinda, Stende, Engure and Lonaste (or elsewhere on the basis of a separate agreement). Since August 2018, DabaLaba has offered the restaurant #Mežā during the summer months. It is in the centre of the forest and offers pure, tasty and healthy dishes made of local ingredients and no preservatives or additives. The menu has dishes for vegetarians and vegans, as well as dishes with no gluten and no lactose. We also have a country sauna where two people can spend the night after taking their sauna.
