Zīļu peonijas is a farm where you can get a true sense of how many different types of peonies there are in the world. The garden has more than 800 different kinds, and they will surprise you with their diversity of form and colour. Each visitor will find one which best corresponds to his or her tastes. Tourists can learn about the history of the estate and the brewing of beer, beginning with raw materials and ending with finished products. The visit is enriched by tastings of live beer and stories about Latvia’s traditional holiday beverage. Alongside the brewery is a store which sells live beer, homemade goodies and selected souvenirs. The “Valmiermuižas alus virtuve” saloon popularises Latvian beers and uses beer in various dishes. A modern approach to homemade products is used to prepare foods and beer-based snacks. There is a beer garden during the summer, and the saloon merges traditional things with modern ones. The recreation complex "Pazust Priedēs" is a newly created recreation area in the village of Bernāti - a 7-minute walk from the beach. Two holiday homes are available for recreation - "Saulrieta" and "Saullēta" houses and a separate bathhouse. Each holiday home has a separate bedroom, an equipped kitchen and a loft floor with additional sleeping places. The recreation complex can accommodate up to 12 people in total. Picnic areas are available near each house and in the territory. SPA services are offered with sauna sessions and a selection of essential oils, with mental health improvement options and meditative tools. An outdoor hot tub is available. Retreats are organized during the summer season, and meditative/exploratory books are available in each house. |

In the farm they also grow rhubarb and make syrups and juices from it. You can take a tour, view the animals, taste milk, yogurt, various cheeses, meats sausages, etc.) and purchase the products, as well. |

This farm was one of the first to grow large-berry cranberries and blackberries in Latvia (since 1997). The swamp used to be used for peat moss extraction, but today it is home to cranberry, blackberry, raspberry and strawberry fields. You can pick, taste and purchase berries and take a tour. We also recommend a visit to the Very Berry factory (approximately 3 km away in Dārzciems), where juices, syrups and beverages are manufactured. |

About 20 minutes by car from Sigulda, this is a venue that offers you a chance to go fishing in a pond that covers 3 ha and offers every opportunity for relaxation. You can rent a boat, and during the winter you can go ice fishing. Next to the pond is a two-story house with a kitchen and an opportunity to spend the night as long as you bring your own mattress. There are three rooms on the lower and three on the higher floor of the building. Next to the house is a lean-to, and there is a pergola not far from the pond. The More War Museum is a bit more than half a kilometre away. Also nearby is the Safari Park. |

The wooden building was erected in the late 19th century and features a museum which demonstrates the way in which people lived more than 100 years ago. Exhibits include household objects, the Rucava folk costume, socks and decorated mittens. Various events involving discussions, singing, games, dancing and weaving are organised, as are cultural and educational programmes such as “Evening Activities” and “A Rucava Banquet” with local foods from lower Kurzeme.
