Representatives and organizers of the competition in Latvia:
Latvian Country Tourism Association "Baltic Country Holidays", founded 1993, is the oldest and strongest rural tourism organisation in the country. The aim of the association is the development of rural tourism in Latvia in the overall context of the rural economy, in cooperation with agriculture, local government, nature conservation and other sectors. The association represents its members by actively engaging in the development processes of national policies and regulations concerning rural tourism interests. The association serves as a forum for professional information exchange and a marketing platform. The members of the association are rural tourism businesses in accommodation and catering, special interest tourist service providers in cultural heritage, nature and active tourism, open farms and small-scale food and beverage producers in rural areas, and organisations and individuals with interest in the rural tourism sector.

The Latvian Cider Route was initiated by the Latvian Country Tourism Association and the enthusiastic cider makers – Abava Winery, Abuls Cidery, Mr. Plūme Cidery, Naukšēnu Winery, Tālava Cider, and Turkalne Manor, all of which have come together in a joint project to create and promote cider as a new tourism product of national identity.
