A parking lot. Tenting site by the river, surrounded by trees: a bonfire place, tables and benches, dry toilet. Boating in the river Rinda with its wooded banks and meanders with water-lillies. Birds and animals can be seen – black woodpecker, herons, wild boar. The lake Puze within 2km. There are cat fish in the lake.

MEZINIEKU MAJAS

This organic working farm offers a taste of Latgale’s culinary heritage and an authentic experience of rural life. Visitors can enjoy tastings of traditional dishes, soups cooked over an open fire, and hands-on workshops in traditional cheese-making and bread baking, as well as accommodation and spaces for celebrations. The surrounding area can be explored on guided tours of Mežinieki Arboretum, home to more than 100 species of trees and shrubs, and Senbaltu Park, where visitors can learn about the significance of trees and their influence on people. LIELA MUIZA

Academy of joviality „Liela muiza” which deals with making barrels, hot barrels, furniture, stairs, doors, and other household goods, in the summer season offers possibilities of lodging  in the guest house. On the first floor there is a hall for celebrations for 30-35 people, a firewood oven and well-equipped kitchen (rooms for rent and bath-house are offered all year round). Lodging is located on the second floor – 1 room for eight people and 5 double rooms.
Guests can watch the process of barrel making from the beginning till the finished product, as well as take part in barrel making process themselves.
