The craftsman produces wooden dishware and other products, making use of many local species of trees. The technique is unusual and reveals the specific texture of timber. The artist has masterfully integrated amber, bone and animal horn in his dishware. He also engraves spoons with ethnographic signs. You can commission or purchase products from the master craftsman, who also restores wooden furniture.

The beer cellar Mara is situated in Talsi. Number of seating places: 100, in the summer season: 200.

This centre offers recreation in a lovely venue on the banks of Lake Zvirgzdi without overnight accommodations.  There is a lovely sandy beach for swimmers, as well as boating and fishing.  Children can ride a water bike.  Active leisure with a country sauna.  There is a guesthouse with two rooms for eight people, as well as six camping trailers, 18 sites for tents, and an opportunity to rent a boat.

This is an ancient Liv village, known as Mustanumm is the last village in the south-easterly direction, and during the mid-20th century, just a few Livonians lived there.  Of 307 inhabitants in 1935, only 15 were Livonians.  At the beginning of the 19th century, there were six farms and a lagoon here, but at the end of the century there were 63 farms.  The valley of the Baķupīte River and the sea had remnants of pilings that provided evidence about a Medieval port.  Legends say that the sea robber Trommel had a castle on the left bank of the river during the 14th century.  Sailing ships were once built in the region, as well. Two locations of cultural and historical importance in Melnsils are the ancient cult location that is the Baķi castle hill, and the castle hill of a sea pirate Trommel.

Mooste Manor is located on the Mooste lakeshore. The attractive mansion is complemented by a large number of outbuildings in Historicist style, and a landscaped park in English style. The mansion houses the local school, the woodwork shop has become a guesthouse, the stable of workhorses is home to restorers, the manager´s house is the Centre for Art and Social Practice while the cattle shed is a concert hall today.

This old brickmaking kiln is used to prepare clay that is used by many ceramics artists. The owners also produce handmade household and design objects. Tours are available with attractive stories and creative workshops. Individual orders are also accepted.

Aizputes pilsdrupas, akmens tilts pār Tebru, Jaunā pilsmuiža, ūdensdzirnavas un Sv. Jāņa luterāņu baznīca, kā arī 19. gs. beigās celtās koka ēkas starp Jāņa, Katoļu un Atmodas ielu veido neparastu pilsētbūvniecības kompleksu, kam piešķirts kultūras pieminekļa statuss. The renovated historic distillery at Mooste Manor (1909) is home to the Estonian Photo Tourism Centre. The guesthouse on the second floor of Mooste Distillery offers cosy rooms with all modern conveniences.
