Legendary restaurant Halinga is located on the roadside of Via Baltica half an hour’s drive from Pärnu in the direction of Tallinn. The restaurant is suitable for both busy travellers and organising events, including for large groups. We use as many local ingredients as possible and cook according to local recipes.

The manor is in Basi in the Gudenieki Parish of Kuldīga District, some 20 km from the district centre.  The manor was built in the 19th century, burned down in 1905, and then restored.  A former residence for servants and an old magazine barn have survived.  The surrounding park covers 4.5 ha, and the estate is a cultural and historical monument of local importance.  The barn was fully reconstructed in 2009 and 2010 with co-financing from the European Union, and today it is the Basi Culture Centre. In 2019, there is to be an interactive exhibition about Suiti events in Gudenieki -- baptisms, weddings, funerals, etc.

The café is in the “Pils” guesthouse, near the Knight Castle Hill and Gunpowder Tower of Kandava. These can be seen from the café’s terrace.

Latvian cuisine: Pea soup, homemade dumpling soup, cream of mushroom soup, chilled beet soup, roast pork, homemade steak haché, stuffed flounder, potato pancakes, stacked rye bread.

Route meanders between a rocky seacoast richly overgrown with reeds and other grasses on one side and wooded seaside dunes on the other side. In some places, the beach is paved with small round stones, in other places you can see grey dunes with a rich variety of plants. Near Bērzciems village, there are large coastal meadows with shoals appearing far away in the sea that are suited for birdwatching. During this route, it is possible to visit the fishermen’s homestead “Dieniņas”, where you can buy local smoked fish. Also it is worth to see Engure port and Engure Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Kafejnīca "Bura" atrodas Madonas ziemeļdaļā, uz Gaujas un Rūpniecības ielas stūra – pie pilsētas apvedceļa. Kafejnīcā piedāvā plašu ēdienkarti, t.sk. latviešu virtuvi. Banketu zāle, vasarā darbojas āra terase. Piedāvā izbraukuma banketus. Ēka celta guļbūves stilā. Ainaviska vide, laukakmeņi.

Latviešu virtuve: Pelēkie zirņi, kartupeļu biezputra ar gaļas krikumiņiem, zemnieku podiņš, siļķe ar mrinētiem sīpoliem un krējumu, maizes zupa, plānās pankūkas.

The territory is established in order to protect the dunes and the seashore habitats. There are beautiful beaches and wooded dunes, and the paved Klaipēda–Palanga bikeway trails through the park, which is worth travelling at full length.

Vairākas salas Zvirgzdenes ezerā, uz kurām saglabājušies platlapju (ozolu, liepu) meži ar bagātīgu zemsedzes floru. Salas var redzēt no ceļiem, kas piekļaujas ezera ziemeļu un austrumu krastam.

The Strūves Park is toward the northwest of Jēkabpils, on the left bank of the Daugava, and opposite the Ādamsona (Krustpils) island. The park was established in the 19^th century as a place where the city’s residents could relax and hold celebrations. It can be said with absolute certainty that this is a place of global importance, because the park contains a memorial stone to Professor Friedrich Georg Wilhelm Struwe (1793-1864) from the University of Tartu. He was an astronomer and geodesist. The stone is at a place where Struwe completed his land survey of the Vidzeme Province of the Russian Empire. The meridian location which Struwe identified (and other points related to those locations are found in many other European countries) is on the UNESCO list of world heritage.

This museum was opened in 1991 at the birthplace of the aviator Stepon Darius.  The house and granary have been restored, with exhibitions in both buildings.  One speaks to the history of aviation in Lithuania and Darius' life, while the other shows ancient household objects.  There is a campsite nearby where you can spend a longer period of time.
