The sauna and  rest place Raudini is a place where you can rest in a comfortable quiet atmosphere, between the sea and the forest.

You will be able to experience relaxation offered by a wooden-heated sauna, wisping with besoms, enjoying the sauna ritual to its fullest and drinking herbal tea. After the wisping you can cool off in the pond with water lilies and, to finish off your sauna ritual we offer chocolate or honey massages.

Here it is possible to rest with your family or a small circle of friends, preparing a tasty meal on the outdoor terrace on the real wooden stove or fireplace. In the evening you will be able to watch the sunset rays in the tree spires.  It is possible to use tent places  outside for spending the night and wait for the sunrise near the sea. Atrodas 0,1 km austrumos no katoļu bazilikas. Jau no 1825. g. Svētavota ūdeni izmantoja dziednieciskiem mērķiem. Līdz 19. gs. 40. gadiem avota ūdens īpašības bija izslavētas tāpat kā Aglonas Dievmātes svētbildes brīnumdarītājas spējas. Tās savulaikapstiprinājusi Viļņas ārstu komisija un Pēterpils akadēmija, taču ap 1840. g. avots savas īpašības esot zaudējis. Tomēr arī mūsdienās svētceļnieki joprojām tic avota spēkam.

Viitna Tavern is one of the few 19th C tavern and post station buildings preserved in Estonia to date. Originally landlords and other rich folk had their rooms and a horse stable in the building’s left wing; today it is a canteen and Estonian handicraft shop. The right wing was for peasant folk chambers and a stable; today it houses a restaurant featuring national dishes on its menu.

The LIELKALNI farm planted two hectares of uncommon berries four years ago – golden currants, viburnum, large-fruit hazel trees, sea buckthorn, the black elder, five-flavour berries, the Chinese gooseberry, edible honey-suckle, etc. The farm has been biologically certified since 2008. In 2009 it received certification from the Latvian Food and Veterinary Service for the production of health-boosting syrups, jellies, jams and teas. Tourists can taste the teas, seasonal berries, syrups, jellies and other treats, all of which are also available for sale.

The organic farm Zemturi is a 30 min drive from Kuldiga. The farm is mainly engaged in breeding rabbits and is designed as a place for children to see, learn about rabbits, birds and other pets. Lai nokļūtu līdz šim tornim, ir jāveic apmēram 20 – 30 min ilgs pārgājiens pa dabas taku no Penijē muižas gar Penijegi (Penijõgi) kreiso krastu. Te redzami bebru darbi un to celtās zaru mājas. No torņa paveras skats uz Kazari deltu, kas dabā izpaužas kā monolīts un nepārskatāms niedrājs. To vairākās daļās sadala Kazari un mazāka izmēra upītes. Katrai deltas daļai ir savs vēsturiskais nosaukums: no torņa pa kreisi no Penijegi redzama Lihula meri (Lihulas „jūra”), bet tās labajā pusē - Kloostri meri (Klostri „jūra”). Putnu vērotāji var iziet garāku (7 km) dabas takas loku, kas ved pa palieņu pļavām. Jārēķinās, ka pavasaros būs nepieciešami piemēroti apavi! Pļavas ierobežotās platībās apsaimnieko mājdzīvnieki, tādēļ neaizmirstiet aizvērt vārtiņus aiz sevis un netraucējiet to ikdienas gaitas! No maršruta nav atļauts novirzīties, lai netraucētu putnus.

Late in September 1944, during World War II, the village of More was witness to some of the bloodiest and most merciless battles in Latvia – only those in the so-called “cauldron of Kurzeme” were worse. Members of the Latvian Legion who were fighting on the German side prevented the ability of the Red Army to break through to Rīga, and they also prevented the encirclement of the German military force. The result of the battle was enormously important to the more than 100,000 civilians who took the opportunity to become refugees and escape the Soviet repressions that were not far in the future. Commemorative events are held in the park each September, bringing together eyewitnesses to the battles and other. There’s a memorial wall with the engraved names of members of the Latvian Legion whose names are known, as well as a stone cross to commemorate unknown soldiers. Two kilometres to the East of the park is a museum, outside which is a Soviet army tank.

This is one of the largest high-type swamps (6,192 ha) in Latvia, with very distinct landscapes of little lakes and hillocks.  The Great Ķemeri Heath is of importance as an extensive hydrological system and preserver of the local microclimate.  It is also of international importance as a site for birds, as well as a major source of sulphurous water.  Along the Kalnciems-Kūdra road, which is on the eastern edge of the swamp (3.4 km from the Rīga-Ventspils highway), there is an information stand with information about the management of the heath and about the role of swamps in nature and in the lives of people.  Great Ķemeri Heath wooden pathway trail is now restored and opened for visitors in 2013.

Mooste Manor is located on the Mooste lakeshore. The attractive mansion is complemented by a large number of outbuildings in Historicist style, and a landscaped park in English style. The mansion houses the local school, the woodwork shop has become a guesthouse, the stable of workhorses is home to restorers, the manager´s house is the Centre for Art and Social Practice while the cattle shed is a concert hall today.

This is a unique example of industrial heritage – the only open munition factory in the Baltic States.  It includes Europe’s oldest pellet pouring tower, and it is still used for that purpose today.  Tours are available for those who contact the factory in advance, and a guide will lead groups through the factory, the tower and the museum.  Today the factory manufactures nine types of bullets for smooth-barrel weapons, as well as bullets for pneumatic weapons.  The products are exported to Germany and other countries.
