Die Ruinen der um 1500 gebauten eindrucksvollen Kirche, die man besichtigen kann. Das Gebäude wurde nach dem Luftangriff 1942 beschädigt.

This craftsman produces beautiful ceramics and uses the so-called black or smoke-based technique. You can try your hand at the potter’s wheel and watch as the kiln is opened. You can commission or purchase ceramics. You can also tour the beautiful garden and receive services related to flower design.

This is an easy 3-day route, suitable for any traveller ready to take some steps outside the capital and get into the woods. You will start the tour by taking a train from Rīga to Ķemeri. The walk will start in the Ķemeri resort park leading to the legendary sulphur spring and continue to the “Forest House” – the visitor’s centre of the Ķemeri National Park. The park is established for the protection of mainly wetlands – the shallow coast of the Gulf of Riga, the overgrown seaside lakes, the vast marshlands, mires (forests) and flood plans. Besides, there is the wooden plank Melnalkšņu swamp forest trail. Next, the Forest Trail takes one to the Lake Sloka, a shallow coastal lake with rich aquatic plants, sulphur springs and important migratory bird rest areas. On the banks of it, there is a 7 m high floating bird-watching tower. Further, the Forest Trail runs to the Gulf of Riga in the small fishermen village of Bigauņciems, where it joins with the Baltic Coastal Hiking Route (E9 European long distance path). From there on, the trail runs along the coast direction Jūrmala – the most popular resort town in Latvia with the widest sandy beaches. The tour ends in Ragakāpa Nature Park, which is established to preserve the dunes covered in old pine forests and natural diversity of the seaside. The Jūrmala Open-Air Museum is a place to get to know a traditional local fishermen’s farmstead.

You are offered horse-riding along the picturesque forests and individual horse-riding lessons.

Here you will find everything that you need for a proper Latvian sauna – bowls, scoops, tubs large and small, switches, linen products and log saunas as such. You can tour the workshop, try out your own hand at the work that the owners do, and commission or purchase their products.

Pašlaik pils pieder Latvijas Mākslinieku savienībai, un tieši šis fakts ir pamats pils unikalitātei. Pilī ir saglabājušies neogotikas interjeri, koka kolonas vestibilā, oriģinālās parketa grīdas, mēbeles un stikla kupols ar vitrāžām, caur kurām gaisma dažādos toņos, veido zīmējumus uz sienām un grīdas.
Pils parka nogāzē atrodas gleznainais Zvārtavas ezers, kur iespējams peldēties, makšķerēt un vizināties ar laivām. Ir pieejamas telts vietas.
Zvārtavas pilī – Starptautiskajā Mākslas un izglītības centrā tiek organizēti mākslas simpoziji, izstādes, darbnīcas un citi pasākumi, tādejādi rosinot šajā vietā īpašu radošo auru.
Pils telpās ir iespējams rīkot seminārus, konferences, simpozijus, sarīkojumus un pieņemšanas un citas svinības. Lielajā zālē šiem pasākumiem ir 30 vietu, savukārt ēdamzālē – līdz 30. Piedāvā arī ekskursijas, radošās darbnīcas, laivu īri, un peldvietu.  
 

The café and guest house, located in the centre of Ventspils, is housed by a classical 19th century wooden building that used to belong to the Kupfer family and is listed as European Heritage. Latvian cuisine: farmer's breakfast, oat or semolina porridge, potato pancakes.

Preiļu Siers is the largest cheese manufacturer in Latvia and exports 90% of its output.  There are three “Preilis” stores in the town (Daugavpils Street 66A, Tirgus laukums 5, Rēzeknes iela 15) where are the widest range of Preiļu Siers products. Three kind of tastings of cheese "Čedars" produced in Preiļi, as well as "Čedars" cheese ice cream and a movie about the company are offered by local home producers "Pampūkas" beach terrace cafe, located in the active part of the city - beach area of Preiļi Park  (pre-registration by phone 25867735, runs from the second Sunday of May till the second Sunday of September). In Preiļi , next to A/S "Preiļu siers" factory (Daugavpils iela 75) is one of few monuments to cheese in the world – the only one of its kind in Latvia.  There are only four monuments for cheese in the world, two of them located in France, and one in each - Canada and USA. Therefore Preili can safely be called the cheese capital of Latvia.

This facility is on the southern shore of Latvia’s second-largest lake with a lovely view of it.  Lettigalian foods are prepared from local ingredients, some of which are grown on site.
