No 28 m augstā torņa, kas atrodas uz apdzīvotas „salas” – Siksalas Teiču purva vidū, paveras ļoti plaša augstā purva ainava ar Siksalas ezeru, citām minerālzemes salām un Siksalas mazciemu. Pļaviņās, pie Daugavas ielas, Daugavas krastā uz laukakmeņiem novietots plosta modelis ar stendu (2011. gads, biedrība „Kopsolis”), kur izlasāms stāsts ar plostnieka atmiņām un aplūkojamas vēsturiskās plostnieku fotogrāfijas. Daugavas posms starp Pļaviņām un Koknesi bija visgrūtāk pārvaramais plostnieku šķērslis ar krācēm un līdz 20 m augstiem, klinšainiem upes krastiem.

A small food producer in Vidzeme, which is engaged in the processing of vegetables, fruits and berries, producing healthy snacks without sugar and flour. This territory was established so as to preserve the natural and cultural landscape of the most distinct part of the Alūksne highlands – a landscape which is made up of the highest hillocks in the area – Dēliņkalns Hill, Dieva Hill, Saules Hill, the Drusku castle hill, and the Kornetu-Peļļu sub-glacial river bed (one of the most significant terrain differences in Latvia). There are lakes, too – Lake Pilskalns, Lake Dzērve, Lake Ieva, Lake Raipals, etc. There are also significant biotopes – hillside and gully forests, various kinds of swamps and meadows, damp forests, etc., all with their own species of flora and fauna. There are nature trails and tracks for cross-country and downhill skiing in the area. There are three restricted natural areas in the territory – Korneti-Peļļi, the Avotu forest, and Dēliņkalns Hill.

The museum was established in 1973 and has been in the Kalna Ziedi homestead since 1989.  The permanent exhibition is in a building that was erected in 1989 on the foundations of the former home, while the warehouse (1990) was built on the foundations of a cattle shed.  The exhibition hall (2000) was built where a granary once stood.  The only part of the former farm that remains in place is the cellar, but the placement of the buildings is typical for the layout of a farm in Vidzeme.  The collection of the museum speaks to the history of the administrative district, beginning with information about the Stone Age.  The open-air exhibition features beehives with marks of belonging, as well as rare round crosses that are monuments to Medieval cemeteries.  100 metres to the Northeast from the museum is the Kalna Ziedi castle hill, while 200 metres to the south are the remains of a sacrificial oak stump that was destroyed in 1994.  The location is on the edge of the reservoir of the Pļaviņas hydroelectric power plant and offers a broad view of the plant’s dam and the town of Pļaviņas.

Balstoties uz senajām dzērienu baudīšanas un darīšanas tradīcijām, 2015.gadā tika dibināts uzņēmums SIA "Cesvaines Vīns", kas savu mājvietu ir atradis senajā Cesvaines Brūzī un kas no jauna pildīs barona Vulfa pagrabus ar klasiskiem dzērieniem.

The café is located in the centre of Talsi, near Church Square, not far from Talsi lake.

Latvian cuisine: Bean, sorrel and chilled soup, grit or pea porridge, sautéed vegetables and meat, homemade steak haché, grey peas with bacon, pork ribs, potato pancakes, whipped fool, fruit juice gelatine with milk.

The saloon is on the seashore with a lovely view of the beach at Saulkrasti. Here different water sports and entertainment activities are organised.

Latvian cuisine: Cold soup, baked filet of cod, homemade steak haché, roast pork, pancakes with cottage cheese, caramelised oatmeal.

This trail offers education about the forest for children of all ages, families with children, and friends of the environment.  The trail is located in the Īle Parish of the Auce Administrative District, 2 km from the Pokaiņu forest.
