This, the third church at this location, was built in 1906 at the initiative of and financing from Gotthard von Budberg, who dedicated it to his late wife, Gertrude. The Walker company organ in the church was built in 1906 in Ludwigsburg in Southern Germany. In 1992, a memorial plaque to commemorate people from Gārsene who were repressed by the Soviet regime was consecrated at the church. 100 m to the East is a cemetery where we see the legendary chapel of the Budberg dynasty, as well as the graves of the noblemen. The church is open to visitors. |

The oldest elements of the Oleri Estate date back to the 17th century. Initially there was a wooden mansion with an ancillary building. The new centre was built in the late 18th century in the style of Early Classicism. After agrarian reforms, the mansion housed an elementary school, and during the Soviet occupation and until the 1970s it was a school for children with mental disorders. The mansion suffered in a fire in 2000, after which it was restored. A local organisation was of great importance in this regard. The mansion is known for its Classicist paintings, with a unique “Painting Gallery.” The mansion is surrounded by a lovely park. The Oleri Estate is known for hosting chamber music concerts. The local Oleri swamp has a wooden pathway and a little viewing tower. |

This farm is engaged in dairy farming and rearing chickens; the obtained eggs and milk is processed in its very own dairy plant. You can taste various dairy products, including ice-cream in the farm, and also get to know the entire production process. You can also order meals for a picnic and apply for a dairy product masterclass. |

The Liv People’s Centre – a building erected in 1939 which represents the identity
of the Liv people and houses a photographic exhibition devoted to the Liv people.

The farm breeds more than 150 sheep. There is a location to feed lambs, and the owners organise animal auctions and “Sheep Days” events. You can take a tour of the farm and purchase pedigreed sheep and sheep-related products. |

The monument is in the Bērtuļi cemetery and has a brass plaque that reads “With deep thanks to fallen heroes of the Latvian people. The 10th Rūjiena Vanagi district.” On the other side of the monument, the words “God, Fatherland, Nation” are engraved. The monument was restored in 1989. |

The owner of the Vālodzes farm is a beekeeper. The farm is on the banks of a lovely river in a place where a homestead existed long ago. The hive are on a hillock and in a lovely meadow in the forest. Alongside the bees is a lovely apple orchard, and the owner is happy to have help in harvesting the apples in the fall. He has slowly restored the farm since 1996, and it has a lovely and large lake, a lake hut, a granary with a renovated upper floor and balcony, the beekeeping operation and the apple orchard. |

The Forest Trail leads down from the highest point of the Haanja Upland. The most important sight on this route is the Suur Munamägi Hill – 318 m above sea level. The highest point of the Baltics with its observation tower provides its visitors with a splendid 50 km range view of the Estonian nature. The 150 year-old western taiga spruce forests grow on the slopes of Suur-Munamägi. Further on the trail circles around the southern part of Lake Vaskna, and continues down small country roads surrounded by solitary homesteads and small clusters of farms. The route ends in a small village, Tsiistre, where the Linen Museum is located. The museum has a collection of folk linen. Flax is one of the oldest cultural plants in Estonia and a few decades ago, blue flax fields were a common sight in southern Estonia. |

This medieval saloon is a true Middle Ages saloon situated on the premises of the Ventspils Castle of the Livonian Order, next to which the river Venta flows. The saloon is thoughtfully incorporated in the castle ensemble, the interior design and the foods that are served create a true feeling of the Middle Ages. The large farm is to the South of the centre of Lone, producing apples, pears, plums, cherries, strawberries and black currants. It stores apples during the whole winter. You can help to pick the fruit and berries and purchase them for yourself. |
