Istras pauguraines dabas parkā nav ar tūrismu saistīti labiekārtojumi, bet šo teritoriju var apskatīt arī „no malas”, braucot pa grantēto ceļu no Soboļinas uz Osinovku, kas iet līdztekus parka ziemeļu robežai (skats uz Šķaunes ezeru).

This lovely farm features lilies, peonies and other flowers, as well as a beautiful rock garden and a dendrological park that is under development. Bees from more than 100 hives produce honey. The lady of the house will take you on a tour and offer plants and honey products for sale. |

The ancient Dviete river valley information centre “Gulbji” is one of the most important information facilities in the nature park and is housed in a single family farm that is 100 years old and is typical of the historical region of Selonia. Visitors can study an exhibition that is dedicated to the park, buy products from local craftspeople and farmers, and enjoy a beverage that is made from the distillation of beaver glands. To the North and East of “Gulbji” is the Putnu island paddock (250 ha) with livestock adapted to life in the wild – Konik horses and Highlander cows. There’s a bird watching tower on the shore of Lake Skuķi, which is 500 m away. |

This farm has 36 ha of land and is near Latvia’s border with Belarus. It raises goats and obtains some 10 tonnes of milk from them each year. The milk is processed at the farm, which offers cottage cheese, cream, various kinds of cheese, homemade ice cream and meat products. Tastings are offered, and visitors can help to do the work at the farm. The farm is part of the Latgale network of culinary heritage and is a biological farm. |

The farm grows and offers vegetables, annual and perennial flowers for gardens, as well as decorative bushes and trees. The owners will design gardens and other green areas, sell saplings and accept commissions for the growth of saplings. You can learn all about the secrets of growing decorative plants and receive advice from the owners. |

The craftspeople use natural materials to produce rattles, wind chimes and musical instruments. They teach children how to make pipes out of reeds. Aleksandrs has a collection of some 100 different instruments which he knows how to play. You can commission or purchase products from the craftspeople. |

This is one of the most outstanding Catholic churches in Latvia. The current building was built in 1761 in the Polish Baroque style. The interior from the 18th century is original and very ornate. Each year there are spiritual music events and Polish cultural festivals here. The Bebrene Estate features an ensemble of Baroque buildings from the late 19th and early 20th century. The dominant building is the mansion of Count Plater-Sieberg, which was built in 1896 after a design by the architect L.J.L. Marconi. It is home to the Bebrene High School today. Surviving to the present day are the ornate gate and the unusual stone fence of the estate. The regular-design park which surrounds the mansion features a wealth of foreign trees. |

The Eversmuiža Estate is in the centre of Cibla and is dominated by a 1680 mansion that was built in the style of Classicism and was rebuilt several times later. There is a home for servants, a gatehouse and ancillary buildings that are in poor shape. A stone wall surrounds the park of the estate. Since the 17th century and for nearly two centuries, the estate belonged to an aristocratic Polish family, after it was owned by various others. Today the mansion houses a boarding school and the Cibla Regional Research Museum, which offers tours. A cultural and historical trail runs along the banks of the Ilža River. |

This is the highest point in the Latgale highlands (289 metres above sea level), opening up a narrow but lovely view of Lake Rāzna and the massive forests of the highlands. You really should visit this hill when the sun is setting beautifully!
