Gulbenes novada vēstures un mākslas muzejs dibināts 1982.gadā un apsaimnieko trīs ēkas – Vecgulbenes muižas oranžēriju, klēti un Sarkano pili. Oranžērijas ēkā izvietotas izstāžu zāles un apskatāmas divas pastāvīgās ekspozīcijas „Gulbenes vēsture” un „Jūlijs Madernieks”. Regulāri tiek atklātas dažāda satura tematiskās izstādes. Vecgulbenes muižas klētī apskatāma ekspozīcija „Tautsaimniecība”, kur apmeklētāji var iesaistīties vairākās aktivitātēs (malt ar rokas dzirnavām, pārbaudīt smaržas un taustes iemaņas, noteikt kokus, graudus, vīt virves u.c.).

Der Betrieb ist mehr als 20 Jahre tätig und arbeitet mit ~ 100 örtlichen Herstellern zusammen. Der Unternehmensgrundsatz ist die Herstellung von natürlichen und gesunden Milchprodukten – Kefir, Quark, saurer Sahne, Sahne, Joghurt und weichem Käse. SIA „Elpa” ist der einzige Milchverarbeitungsbetrieb in Südkurland, der eine Betriebsbesichtigung und Verkostung der Erzeugnisse anbietet. Die Produktion kann man auch vor Ort kaufen. Im Laufe der Betriebsbesichtigung ist es möglich, Kefir, Käse, Joghurt zu verkosten, sowie Milchprodukte selber herzustellen.

The Baltic Coastal Hiking Route starts at the center of Mazirbe village where you can see the Livonian National House. Continuing through small forest and country roads past the former Mazirbe Naval school, it winds through small coastal Livonian villages: Košrags, Pitrags and then Saunags. The Livonian coast is the only place where you can get to know the cultural history heritage of one of the smallest peoples in the world, the Livonians. In this section, the indicating signs are in both the Latvian and Livonian language. At the end of route you will see Cape Kolka, the point where the Great Wave Sea meets the Little Wave Sea. It is one of the most popular bird-watching sites on the Baltic seacoast.
 

The nature park in the Ogre River valley is found along the middle section of the river. It has been established so as to protect the unregulated river valley and its surrounding territory, as well as biological diversity and habitats. For instance, this is an area in which rare park-type meadows can be found in Latvia. The Ogre is one of Latvia’s most popular rivers for water tourism in the spring, particularly downriver from the town of Ērgļi, where the technically complicated Braži rapids are found.

A beautiful landscape garden is open for visitors at Gundegas house.  200 year old oaks adorn the Vārkavas Park.  Riekstiņi is an authentic single-family Selonian farm with a specific spirit and ambience. At Kaldabruņa you will visit an art gallery housed in a hay-shed together with a hay museum. Grape selection and cultivation was the great passion of Pauls Sukatnieks, and his memorial garden is worth visiting during the harvesting time. Dvietes Manor is proud of its 19th century landscape park and a stone bridge. Daugavpils, the 2nd largest city of Latvia, is famous for the renovated  19th century Daugavpils Fortress housing museums. Sēlija tree nursery offers a tour of their apple orchard, apple storage and production facilities. Enjoy a glass of apple juice and stories of vinemakers. Berķenele is the memorial house of Rainis, the distinguished Latvian author and social activist.The Rokiškis Regional Museum and Manor is one of the most important cultural centres of the Aukštaitija region. The Vytautas Magnus University Kaunas Botanical Garden exposes the Lithuanian Heritage flower garden plants according to their botanical classification. At Tadas Ivanauskas Homestead at Obelynė Park you will see a collection of 300 species and forms of plants, including some of the oldest trees on the planet – the ginkgo biloba and the dawn redwood. In Kaunas you will see the Oldest Apple Tree in Lithuania – almost 360 years old, 8 metres tall, with a girth of 285cm at a height of 1.3m. The tour ends in Kaunas, Lithuania's 2nd largest city that was the capital of the country from 1920 until 1939.
