Pils iela pazīstama ar jūgendstila apbūvi, kas veidojusies 19. un 20. gs. mijā veco vienstāvu ēku vietā. Pirmā ēka Pils ielā 30 (jaušama jūgendstila ietekme) tika uzcelta 1901. g. Pils un Kuģinieku ielas krustojumā (Pils iela 40) paceļas 1905. g. celtais Vulfsona trīsstāvu īres nams, ko var pazīt pēc neobarokālā stila torņa. Netālu esošo ēku Pils ielā 31 un 38 (Mūzikas skola) fasādes jau ir uzskatāmas par raksturīgiem jūgendstila paraugiem. Savukārt, ēku Kuģinieku ielā 2 uzskata par vienu no skaistākajiem Latvijas jūgendstila namiem ārpus Latvijas galvaspilsētas. Uzmanība jāpievērš arī ēkām Pils ielā 54 un 60.

This section of the Forest Trail leads through the entire Gauja National Park and gives an opportunity to see all the most beautiful places and sights of this national park of more than 100 km. Gauja National Park is the oldest and largest national park in Latvia. The ancient valley of the River Gauja is the deepest river valley in the Baltic states. The banks of the River Gauja reveal colourful sandstone outcrops, which are reflected in the water. The sights are most wonderful in springtime, when bird cherry trees are in full bloom, and in autumn, as the trees turn red and yellow. The ancient valley of the River Gauja has a distinctive terrain relief that can fluctuate by up to 80 m. The largest part of the road leads through forest paths, along the river, and exits the woods in Līgatne and Sigulda.

Almost half of the park is covered by forest. Gauja National Park is known for the great diversity of specially protected forests, featuring herbaceous spruce forests, slope and ravine forests, as well as mixed broadleaf forests.

The name of the location translates to “Honey Castle,” and the owner has some 300 hives of bees. Honey that he has produced has won a number of prizes. He offers hogweed honey, honeyed local berries, and honey straws for children (the only place in Latvia where these are offered). You can tour the farm, taste ten types of honey, and purchase beekeeping products. “Extreme Beekeeping” is a process which will allow you to put on a beekeeper’s suit to learn about the hard-working insects up close. The owner also produces wax candles.

Dobele name in historical sources for the first time is mentioned in1254. Dobele was one of the most fortified Semigallian places; therefore from 1279 until 1289 it survived six attacks by German crusaders. In 1289 Semigallians was forced to retreat. In 1335 conquerors instead of Semigallian castle began construction of new - stone castle. On the opposite shore of Berze - on the left bank merchants and craftsmen village began to form. Town suffered greatly during the Northern War and during the subsequent plague. A significant event in the economic life was the 1927, when Liepaja-Gludas railway line was built. After World War II in Dobele and its vicinity came to the Soviet militaries, who built one of the largest Soviet tanks range "Dobele-2". Now Dobele travellers are offered a range of interesting sites to be visited.

The Peipsi barge is a type of sailing ship specially adapted to Lake Peipsi and Emajõgi River conditions, and originates from the 14th C. Jõmmu was the first barge launched in 2006 following a 50-year gap. The Emajõgi River Barge Association runs varied trips on the Emajõgi River and Lake Peipsi. Little fans of barges can learn about old crafts and shipbuilding at the barge yard.

The workshop manufactures household products such as benches, tables, hangers, kitchen equipment, sauna barrels, other barrels, outstanding souvenirs of wood, etc. You can commission or buy the products, and tours are also available.

The campsite is located 77 km from Riga, surrounded by beautiful forest and sea. The range of offers is wide - beach volleyball court, basketball court, windsurfing, table tennis and more. There are tent sites as well as double or quadruple camping houses. There are facilities for people with reduced mobility. The campsite is open from 1 May until 31 October. The Vijciems Hunting Castle building houses an elegant design guest house Bergervilla. Each room has an individually designed design, historic furniture and a special atmosphere. There are 4 rooms available - a standard room, a two-room suite and two deluxe rooms with a private balcony and a bathtub. Each room is given the name of a forest beast or bird - Owl, Mednis, Deer and Elk.

There is also a living room and library for guests to relax in, as well as a fully equipped kitchen for cooking. Free Wi-Fi and parking are available.

A family shop in Ikšķile that offers the produce of small Latvian producers and craftsmen. The store is a favourite, not only of the residents of Ikšķile and the surrounding area, but also for shoppers from Riga, Ķekava, Ogre and other cities. An online store is also available.
