This is the home of singer and oral tradition keeper Lidija Jansone, who is a holder of the Latvian Order of Tree Stars and a fierce defender of the cultural heritage of the Suiti people. She will tell you about her community’s history and traditions and about the special bourdon singing of the Suiti. Lidija will also talk about how beer was once brewed by our ancestors for various celebrations. |

On sunny days, this white church absolutely sparkles. It is in the southern section of the village and can be seen from a great distance. Jesuits built the first wooden church at this location in 1759 in honour of St Peter and St Paul. The church that is there today was built nearly a century-and-a-half later, in 1893. The interior can be visited during worship services. Interred in the yard of the church is the Lithuanian pastor and wood carver Antons Rimovičs (1865-1933). The congregation building is opposite the church. |

This is a lovely park and a reconstructed estate from the mid-19th century, located 14 km away from Panevežys in northern Lithuania. The estate was established during the latter half of the 19th century, and during the 20th century, various buildings were erected, including a two-story mansion with two floors (mid-19th century), stables, cellars, a gardener hut and ancillary buildings. The mixed-type park with ponds was installed in during the latter half of the 19th century. There was a large pergola on a hillock in the park, and it was alongside the gardener's hut. The silhouette of the park is enlivened by newly pave pathways and little bridges that link the ponds. |

One of the most attractive and informative nature trails in the environs of Rīga. It leads the visitor around the 17-metre Ragakāpa dune, which is most interesting. People can learn about the habitats of the dune areas and the plants and animals of the area. Some of the pine trees are as much as 100 years old and more. The trail is 2km long in each direction and will take some two hours to traverse. This is part of the Ragakāpa nature park.

The saloon is on the edge of the Murjāņi-Valka road (A3) in a two-story log building with a terrace. The interior design of Mazais Ansis fits the aura of a massive wooden structure and it is possible to look at old times’ instruments, household goods and harnesses. There is also a very valuable wooden wheel, which is one of the very few in Latvia. The saloon offers a sauna, a location for campfires and a children’s playground. It works with local farmers and manufacturers. Latvian cuisine: Valmiera salad, boiled tongue, grey peas, farmer’s breakfast, cold soup, filet of pike, roast lamb, grilled pork, stacked rye bread, strawberry crème with jam, rye bread, herbal teas. Special foods: Beef filet with potato pancakes. |

The Tado Ivanausko farm and apple orchard have a memorial museum that is in Ringaudosa in the Kaunas District. The memorial farm has a house in which the museum is located, a gardener's house, a poultry coop and a garden and park that cover approximately 4 ha. The name of the location is based on very floral and fertile apple trees. |

The saloon is in the 250-year-old servants’ home of the Rundāle Castle, with a brick floor, pot-bellied stoves, a smokestack and other historical objects. Meals are served on antique dishes, and hot beverages are served in cups from the Kuzņecovs Factory. Latvian cuisine: Roast ham with eggs, potatoes with mushroom sauce, roast goose, crabs boiled with dill, pancakes with honey, bread soup with whipped cream, stacked bread, country teas, apple pie. Special foods: Pork shish kebab with oven-roasted potatoes. |

Ramocku stacija atklāta 1889. gadā reizē ar dzelzceļa Pleskava-Rīga atklāšanu. 1916.gadā pēc jauna dzelzceļa izbūves līdz Gulbenei, šīs stacijas nozīme ievērojami pieauga. 1918.gadā tā kļuva par divu dažādu sliežu platumu dzelzceļa iecirkņu saskares staciju. Intensīva vilcienu kustība caur šo staciju tika izvērsta Brīvības cīņu laikā. Sadursmes pie Ieriķu stacijas notika jau 1918.gada decembrī. 1919.gadā jūnijā te sākās Cēsu kaujas. Starp Cēsīm un Ieriķiem vācieši uzbruka igauņu bruņuvilcienam. Par dažādiem nopelniem Brīvības cīņu laikā Ieriķu apkaimē, vairāki karavīri saņēma apbalvojumus, arī Lācplēša kara ordeņus.1919. gadā stacija nodēvēta par Ieriķiem. Otrā pasaules kara laikā te atradās lokomotīvju depo.1953.gadā depo vietā izveidoja stratēģiskās rezerves tvaika lokomotīvju bāzi. Pēdējā tvaika lokomotīve L-3599 Ieriķu bāzi pameta 2002.gadā un tagad ir redzama kinopilsētā Cinevilla.Ieriķu stacija vairākkārt pārbūvēta.Otrā pasaules kara laikā nodedzināta pavisam. 1956.gadā uzbūvē pašreizējo ēku. |

Cīravas muižas ūdensdzirnavas būvētas 1881. g., bet 20. gs. – pārveidotas. Šīs ir vienas no salīdzinoši retajām Latvijas ūdensdzirnavām, kas tādā apjomā saglabājušas vēsturiskos mehānismus. Apskatāmas no ārpuses. |

Со стороны шоссе Рига – Даугавпилс (А6) (напротив кафе «Бордертаун») стоит необычный (построенный из складывающихся конструкций) храм, который изготовлен в Одессе в 1866 году. Церковь служила передвижной церковью царской армии и стоит на этом месте с 1904 года. Раньше (с 1886 г.) она находилась в Даугавпилсе. При храме построен деревянный дом-молельня, который открыт целые сутки. |

The Kolka lighthouse is on an artificial island which was created
between 1872 and 1875. The original lighthouse was made of wood, and
its light was first lit in June 1875. As the island settled into the sea, the
current tower was built. It began operations on July 1, 1884. Today the
lighthouse is six kilometres from Kolkasrags at the end of its sandy
shallows (back when it was built, it was just five kilometres away). The
island still has the building for the lighthouse supervisor, as well as
several outhouses. The metal lighthouse which is there now was built in
St Petersburg. It has been an automated lighthouse since 1979.

This arboretum was established in 1996, when dendrologists Raimonds Cinovskis and Ināra Bondare joined with the local government in Rucava in experimenting with plants on the Rucava castle hill. The first plants were planted in 1998, and ever since then the collection has been expanded in the town centre and outside the Rucava Elementary School. Each year new and exotic plants are brought in from all around the world. A traditional garden festival is held each year in May, when rhododendrons and magnolias are in full bloom. |
