Haapsalu was once loved by aristocrats who stayed here during summers, nowadays this town is very appealing to its visitors because of its essence - tiny streets, old wooden buildings and promenade. Worth mentioning are also town's SPAs which were one of the reasons why Haapsalu was so popular its earlier years. Interesting enough, the famous composer Tchaikovsky considered this place one of his favorite's for spending the holidays. |

The Ķemeri National Park (est. 1997) covers wetlands, the shallow waters of the Bay of Rīga, overgrown seaside lakes, swamps, damp forests and wetland meadows. There are many important plants (including some 25% of those that are declared to be rare) and animals, including an area where the locations of nesting and migrating birds are protected. The park includes one of the largest swamps in Latvia – the Great Ķemeri Swamp. This is an important location for sulphurous waters and medicinal dunes, and back in history, that was the reason for the establishment of popular spas in Ķemeri. The bakery offers more than 50 different types of bread products. The “Arona” rye bread has been awarded the “Zaļā karotīte” certificate of conformity. Products awarded with the “Bordo karotīte” certificate: Rye bread, Sweet and sour bread, Latgale tin loaf, Scored white bread, Hearth rye bread, Cesvaine hearth bread, Madona sweet and sour bread, Biržu sweet and sour bread. The Plunge Estate is famous because its park, which is a mixed-type park that was established during the 18th and 19th century at a holy forest that used to be a sacrificial place. The pride and joy of the park is the Thunder oak tree, a legendary weeping linden tree and an elm tree with five trunks. The lord of the state ordered the digging of seven ponds with cascades. These are linked by rock bridge sluices. The Babrungo River, which flows alongside the estate offers an outstanding landscape for the park. |

This museum was established in 1974, and it is one of the largest (194 ha) outdoor ethnographic museums in Europe, with 91,420 exhibits in all. The exhibition is made up of farms, villages and a small town to demonstrate the ancient architecture, culture and lives of Lithuanians, along with vegetables, fruits and flowers. |

The Boulder of Labvārži is located in the Northern side of Adamova Nature Park, in the SW of Lake
Vizulītis (Labvārži). It is located 0,70 km from the Labvārži or Laboržu House. The boulder is 5.9m long and
4,0 m wide.

Dievnams celts 1933. – 1938. gadā koka kapelas vietā pēc Prāvesta Vaclava Kozlovska projekta, kurš pats arī vadījis celtniecības darbus. Dievnams celts no lieliem cementa ķieģeļiem. Tā lielajā altārī novietota Svētā Antona glezna, bet sānu altārī – Jaunavas Marijas statuja. Gan glezna, gan statuja ir pārvesta no Izvaltas baznīcas. Ikdienā baznīca apskatāma no ārpuses. |

The tower is in the western part of the Vasenieki swamp, and an interesting nature trail with information stands and pathways was recently established there. The tower offers a look at unique swampland – visitors can survey the entire swamp. Wear proper footwear when it is damp outside!

Eine der größten Kirchen Osteuropas (bis 16. Jh.) un die einzige mittelalterliche Kirche Estlands mit zwei Türmen. Wurde in 13. – 16. Jh. gebaut, zerstört im Laufe des Livländischen Kriegs. Im Chorteil der Kirche befindet sich das Museum der Universität Taru (früher – eine Bibliothek). Die Türme sind renoviert und in denen sind die Aussichtsplätze eingerichtet. |

The great Black Plague rock, which has engraved text that can still be seen
to a certain extent – it tells future generations about the local pastor who died
from the plague, about how the parsonage was established at Sīkrags and then
moved to Mazirbe. The rock is also a monument to six pastors of the nearby
congregations. All the three stones tell about the horrors of the Black Plague in
1710, the texts have been engraved during the parson Peterson in 1711-1734.
