Die Schreinerwerkstatt bietet verschiedene Exkursionen und Veranstaltungen für Kinder und Erwachsene, es gibt verschiedene thematische Programme. Unter Anleitung der Meister kann mit traditionellen Schreinerwerkzeugen arbeiten und alte Spiele erlernen, zum Abschluss einen kräftigenden Tee genießen und ein romantisches Picknick im Lagerfeuerhaus veranstalten. Man kann Souvenire aus Holz erwerben und auch bestellen. |

Das Museum befindet sich am Rande der Landstraße zwischen Jaunpiebalga und Vecpiebalga. Das Museum „Jāņaskola” wurde 1969 eröffnet. Die Ausstellungsgegenstände des Museum spiegeln den Lebensweg der zwei hervorragenden lettischen Personen – Emīls Dārziņs (1875 – 1910) und Jāņis Sudrabkalns (1894 – 1975) wider. Im Museum ist es möglich, Musikwerke von E. Dārziņš zu hören. Das Museum bietet auch die Exkursionen für individuelle Besucher und Gruppen, sowie Vortrags- und Musikabende an. |

Den raschen Strömungen der Akmeņupīte, die von der Hochebene von Oberlettland durch Dviete fließt und weiter in die Daugava mündet, kann man nur im Frühling oder nach Landregen beobachten. In der übrigen Zeit ist sie ein flaches Flüsschen mit einem steinigen Bett. Am Bachufer ist ein Rastplatz mit Feuerstelle (und Holz). Seinen Durst kann man an Quellen stillen.

Der Pavillon – Rotonda der Liebesinsel –
wurde 1928 im klassizistischen Stil gebaut.
Seinerzeit gab es hier einen Bootsanlegeplatz.
Bis jetzt wird geplant den runtergekommenen
und gefährlichen Pavillon zu erneuern.

Found in the northern part of Cesvaine, the church was built of fieldstones in the Neo-Gothic style in 1879 by the architect Paul Max Bertschy. The church was restored in 1929 and again in the early 1990s. The altar painting, “Christ on the Cross” (1923) is by Jēkabs Bīne.

Ein geschütztes Territorium mit einer Reihe von künstlichen Teichen im Südwesten von Saldus. Die Teiche ziehen viele verschiedene Vogelarten während der Nist- und Vogelzugzeit an. Im Jahr 1678 wurde hier die erste katholische Kirche gebaut. Die Stadt hat wesentlich unter beiden Weltkriegen gelitten. Der Name von Līvāni ist mit der Glasindustrie verbunden. The first wooden Catholic church in Dagda was built in 1705, while the church that is seen today was built in the Baroque style during the latter half of the 18th century, the work financed by a local nobleman. Important interior elements include the altar, the pulpit, the organ, a monument to the Hilsen dynasty, etc. To the North of the church is historical Dagda itself, with typical red brick buildings from the early 20th century that are known as the former homes of Jewish merchants.
