Der Bauernhof befasst sich mit der Ziegenzucht und Herstellung verschiedener Ziegenmilchprodukte, aus denen Ziegenkäse und andere Produkte hergestellt werden. Auf dem Feld neben dem Bauernhof werden auch Kartoffeln, saftige Erdbeeren und andere Produkte angebaut. In der Sommerlaube können ca. 15-20 Menschen am Tisch sitzen und gemütlich miteinander reden. Es wird eine leichte Kost angeboten, die zu 100% aus den Produkten des Bauernhofs zubereitet wird. |

Das Wirtshaus befindet sich am Ufer des Sees Aluksne, im Zentrum für Landtourismus und Erholung Jaunsētas. Es ist ein Blockhaus mit Innenausstattung im Stil des 17. Jhs., als in Aluksne die spätere Zarin von Russland und die Frau des Peters des Großen geboren wurde und bei ihrem Pflegevater Ernst Glück aufgwuchs. Lettische Küche: Suppe aus Fischen (Zander oder Hecht) aus dem See Aluksne, Schweinezunge, in Mehlpanierung gebratenes Ei, geschichtetes Roggenbrot-Dessert mit Preiselbeermarmelade und Schlagsahne. Das besondere Gericht: Mittagessen nach dem Geschmack der örtlichen Einwohner: Brühe mit gebrühten Teigstücken "Profitroļi". |

Das ist ein wirklich einzigartiges Naturterritorium – das uralte Tal des Dviete-Flusses, die Seen Skuķi und Dviete und die Auenwiesen, die an das Flusstal angrenzen. Während der Überschwemmungszeit sind sie eine Art Sicherheitsventil für das Wasser der mächtigen Daugava. Die Wiesen können ein Grossteil des Flutwassers auffangen und später geben sie es langsam wieder an den Fluss zurück. All das erzeugt ein ziemlich ungewöhnliches Ökosystem. Das Flusstal ist wichtig für die Vögel während des Vogelzugs und zum Nisten. Im Jahre 2006 wurden Wildkühe in die Wiesen ausgewildert. Die touristische Infrastruktur muss in diesem Gebiet verbessert werden.

Before its flooding, the canyon of the Daugava River between Pļaviņas and Koknese was one of the most outstanding and beautiful parts of the Baltic terrain, and Oliņkalns hill was one of the largest castle hills in Latvia. The Andrejs cliff as up to 20 metres high, and it was part of the Daugava canyon. Before the area was flooded because of the construction of the Pļaviņas hydroelectric power plant, there were rapids near the hill that made it hard for rafters to sail down the river. Today it is a small island in the reservoir of the plant (it can be seen from the side of the Rīga-Daugavpils highway (A6) opposite Stukmaņi). It is separated from the shore by 300 metres of river, under which the Dūņas valley is now resting. A small part of the ramparts of the castle hill can still be seen on the island along with the ruins of an open-air stage and a few metres of the dolomite cliff that have remained above water. It is thought that the Alene castle was on the hill in the 13th century. Latvian mountain climbers installed a memorial stone in 1998 opposite Oliņkalns hill. |

The trail tells about grey dunes which have survived thanks to the border restrictions and the presence of military. The trail starts from the parking place at the mouth of the Užava river. It is one of the few natural rivermouths in Europe. One can also see the „tacis”, an industrial installation for lamprey (Lampetra fluviatilis) fishing during their spawning migration period. The 3km long trail is circular. It winds for 1.5km from the Užava rivermouth to the North, along the coastline (the beach is covered with sand and pebbles), and returns to the starting point by a gravel road through grey dunes. Along the trail, one can observe a distinct white dune with rare plant species Linaria loeselii, Lathyrus maritimus, Anthyllis arenaria, Tragopogon heterospermus. About 1km from the rivermouth, in the sea, one can see a wrack of a sailing ship (parts of frame). The visibility depends on the flow of sand in the sea. The way back opens a beautiful view of the range of grey dunes. Unfortunately, Scots Pine starts taking over the area. There are three important biotopes of EU significance: „Fixed dunes with herbaceous vegetation 2130”, „Decalcified fixed dunes with Empetrum nigrum 2140” and „Dunes with Salix arenaria 2170”, forming a unique mosaic. Typical species here: mountain Alison ‘(Alyssum gmelinii), Pasqueflower (Pulsatilla pratensis), Sand Pink (Dianthus arenarius), Rosemary Leaved Willow (Salix rosmarinifolia), Dark Red Helleborine (Epipactis atrorubens), Kinnikinnick (Arctostaphylus uva-ursi). As a former military site, some military constructions can be seen here like horseshoe-shaped sand ramparts by the road in gray dunes. They were built to disguise military vehicles in case of sea attack. By the Kangroti graveyard, towards the Užava river, there is an underground pillbox. Palūšē atrodas nacionālā parka administrācija (izveidota neliela ekspozīcija) un tūrisma informācijas centrs, kempings, nesen atjaunotā laivu bāze un viens no biežāk apmeklētajiem parka objektiem – Palūšes baznīca (Palūšės bažnyčia), kas celta 1757. gadā. 2008. g. No dievnama apkārtnes paveras jauks skats uz Lūšu (Lūšiai) ezeru, īpaši saulrietos, kad baznīca iegūst teiksmainu nokrāsu. Blakus baznīcas žogam aug vecais Palūšes ozols. Uzskata, ka tā vecums varētu būt ~ 350 – 400 gadi. |

Vienīgā baznīca nacionālā parka teritorijā. Tā atrodas Kirblas (Kirbla) ciemā – uz neliela pacēluma, kas Baltijas ledus ezera laikā bijusi sala, kuru no visām pusēm ietvēris ūdens. Kirblas baznīcas pirmsākumi ir meklējami 16. gs. un par tās celtniecību saglabājušies dažādi interesanti nostāsti. Tas ir viens no mazākajiem Igaunijas dievnamiem (29 x 11 m). |

Metāla tornis Kazari upes kreisajā krastā, ~ 5 km attālumā no Matsalu līča. No torņa redzamās Kazari deltas palieņu pļavas atrodas tikai 0,3 – 1 m augstumā virs jūras līmeņa, tādēļ pavasara palos un stipru vētru (īpaši rietumvēju) laikā ūdens appludina milzīgu teritoriju. Uzskata, ka platības ziņā šīs ir vienas no lielākajām Eiropas palieņu pļavām, kas ir nozīmīga dažādu tārtiņveidīgo putnu sugu ligzdošanas, dzērvju un zosveidīgo putnu atpūtas un barošanās vieta. Ir pagājis laiks, kad zemnieki Matsalu pļavās ganīja govis un pļāva sienu, tādēļ šobrīd pļavu apsaimniekošanu veic nacionālā parka administrācija. |
