Die Wirtschaft Joži kann man in Jaunpils, am Rande der Straße Jaunpils – Viesata finden. Diese Wirtschaft ist eine der größten Wirtschaften für Getreidepflanzen (Wintergetreide, Sommergetreide und auch Rapse) in Lettland, deren Anfänge Ende der 1980er und Anfang der 1990er Jahre zu finden sind. Zurzeit befinden sich in der Wirtschaft 14 Getreidetürme und eine Rekonstruktion erlebt das Darrhaus. Insgesamt werden 5000 ha bewirtschaftet, ein moderner Park mit landwirtschaftlicher Technik ist gebildet worden. Die Wirte Guna und Gunvaldis Sproģis nehmen aktiv an verschiedene EU-Projekte teil. The bridge was built in 1906. Part of it was blown up during World War I and later restored. During the Soviet occupation, one needed special permits to cross the bridge. Military ships and other vessels used the canal, because one of the largest military bases in the USSR was sited here. In the summer of 2006, one month before the bridge’s centenary, a Georgian-flagged tanker, the Anna, rammed into the northern support structure of the bridge, and that destroyed the bridge’s turning part beyond recognition. The bridge was renovated and reopened in 2009. You can look at the bridge and cross it at any time.This is a unique engineering monument, and it is the only drawbridge of its kind in the Baltic States. It takes just five minutes to turn the two parts of the bridge.

Früher wurde das Radioteleskop zum Zweck der Abwehr genutzt. In Irbene liegt ein Komplex von verschiedenen Militärabteilungen und Objekten, darunter auch eine verlassene Armeestadt. Heutzutage wird das Radioteleskop vom Zentrum für Radioastronomie der Wissenschaftlichen Akademie der Republik Lettland bewirtschaftet und es wird als Objekt für wischenschaftliche Erforschungen genutzt. Das Objekt kann man in Begleitung eines Reiseführers besuchen.

Estnische Kleininsel Naissaar war nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg bis 1993 militärisches Sperrgebiet der sowjetischer Armee. In seiner Zeit – ein geheimes sowjetisches Militärobjekt mit einem Lagerkomplex einer verlassenen Minenfabrik. Besuchenswert auf der Insel sind die artenreiche Natur, Wanderwege, Schmalspurbahn, zaristische Artilleriebatterien und sowjetische Minenfabrik.

The “Lamb Club” is a farm in Mazsalaca, and it is special because the sheep live in a real club!  The owners offer the atmosphere of a farm at which the sheep play major roles.  Enjoy mutton and sheep milk foods and beverages, feel how comfortable it is to read your favourite while sitting on a fluffy sheepskin, and, in order not to get cold by the campfire in the evening, you can purchase warm woollen socks and woven woollen cloaks.

The owners hope that people from Latvia and all around the world will spend more time at the farm, because accommodations involve a new glamping tent that is as close as possible to nature and the healthy rural environment.  Don’t lose a lick of the comfort that you are used to in your everyday life!

The owners, Ilze and Valters, will be happy to give you a tour during which they talk about herding sheep.  If you contact them in advance, they will prepare a tasty mutton meal for you.  The tour can also be supplemented with various activities such as games, quizzes and creative workshops at which sheep wool is utilised.

The White Dune is one of the landmarks of Saulkrasti, on the Vidzeme gulf coast. The dune offers a splendid view of the sea, the mouth of the Inčupe River and the vast beach. The White Dune formed as the wind drove beach sand over the clay silt of Baltic Ice Lake. Its white 18 meters high sand outcrop once helped local fishermen find their way home. The dune got its name from its white, hardened layers of sand which look like sandstone.
In White Dune are set up following Nature Design objects: "Entrance gates" which symbolizes White Dune and its fragility. On the wall of this object an information about White Dune are exposed. "Frīda the Hedgehog" and "Fredis the Rabbit"- both objects invite people to be polite when visiting nature sites and not to throw rubbish on the ground as well as to be quiet in the forest. "The bug trail" which helps to understand that humans are not the only one creatures in the nature. "Listening device" which is made in the form of trumpet and helps to listen into the sounds of sea and wind. The approximately 4 kilometers long Sunset Trail winds from the White Dune to the center of Saulkrasti.
