"Aldara alus darbnīca" ir modernākais alus muzejs Baltijas valstīs un pirmais Latvijā. Alus muzejs atrodas vēsturiskajā Aldara kvartālā – Sarkandaugavā. Pēc vērienīgas rekonstrukcijas, vēsturiskās ēkas atjaunošanas un alus ekspozīcijas izveides, muzejs savas durvis vēra 2015. gada maijā. Muzejs izvietots trijos stāvos 800 kvadrātmetru platībā.

Muzeja interjerā ir akcentētas vēsturiskās liecības, tā lepnums ir autentiskā alus vārītavas zāle, kas neskarta saglabāta kopš 1938. gada. Tās senie alus vārīšanas vara katli ir retums, kas saglabājušies līdz pat mūsdienām. Izmantojot jaunākās tehnoloģijas, senajos vārīšanas katlos interaktīvā veidā ir iespējams izpētīt četru galveno alus sastāvdaļu  – ūdens, apiņu, iesala un rauga – burvību.

Alus muzejs "Aldara alus darbnīca" labi papildina ēkas otrajā spārnā izvietoto alus darītavu, kas ikdienā brūvē pašas izsmalcinātākās Aldara alus šķirnes. 

Aldara alus darbnīcas viesiem ir iespēja izzināt Latvijā un citviet pasaulē brūvēto alus šķirņu dažādību un šarmu, iepazīties ar alus brūvēšanas noslēpumiem, kā arī pašiem nogaršot dažādus alus veidus.  Tiek arī piedāvātas telpas dažādiem pasākumiem  - konferencēm, semināriem, svinībām un saviesīgiem vakariem.

Guests have access to three two-person glamping tents in a unique place in the Veclaicene Parish, which is right by the border between Latvia and Estonia.  The tents are well-equipped with a hardwood bed with a comfortable mattress, two pillows, two large blankets, bed linens, two towels, two duvets, a chest for visitors’ things, two easy chairs on a terrace, and a little table with a bench.  Each tent is hooked up to electricity, with available plugs and lights.

The territory has a common-use summer kitchen with three lavatories.  Spend some time glamping, and you’ll feel the healing power of nature, relax from your everyday rhythm, watch the country landscape, enjoy yourself and your partner or friend.  You can go for walks, rent bikes, swim in the pond, sunbathe, enjoy a jacuzzi, grill, and read books from the Muuski community library.

The Jaunpils Crafts House opened on May 10, 2015, and it is home to a group of weavers from Jaunpils that was established in 1970, as well as the “Dzīpars” organisation.  The group is led by a master weaver, Velga Pavlovska, who is happy to share her knowledge with the 18 women who are part of the group.  She organises the work of women who do handicrafts, and she also conducts tours and creative workshops.  Visitors can learn about the work of weavers and other master handicraft specialists, take part in educational master classes, go on tours and purchase various souvenirs.

Die Wirte haben das Gebäude der Mühle (1875 gebaut) erhalten, indem jetzt ein Museum eingerichtet ist. Dieser Ort ist mit Angeboten für Hochzeitstraditionen bekannt. Gäste können Fische in dem Mühlenteich fischen und sie auch selber vorbereiten.

The vineyard of the ABAVA family winery covers 3.5 ha at this time, and is being expanded year by year.  We have a wide range of types of grapes, and we harvest them each year to produce a limited amount of wine.

The winery was set up by the family of Mārtiņš and Liene Barkāns, and it is a well-developed company which produces high-quality beverages from fruits and berries that are grown in Latvia.  The ABAVA winery was established in 2010, and it quite quickly became one of Latvia’s leading wineries.

In dem am Ende des 19. Jhs. gebauten hölzernen Haus, das zu einem Museum umgewandelt ist, kann man das Leben der Menschen kennenlernen, die vor mehr als 100 Jahren gewohnt haben. Hier kann man Haushaltsgegenstände, die dem Kreis Rucava charakteristische Tracht, Socken und Muster von Handschuhen besichtigen. Das Schloss von Bīriņi ist von 1857 bis 1860 als der Besitz der Grafen von Pistolkors gebaut worden. Das neogotische Schloss wurde von dem Architekten aus Riga Friedrich Wilhelm Hess projektiert. Man kann Informationen darüber finden, dass nach dem Bau des Schlosses es das prachtvollste und modernste Historismus-Gebäude in der Region Vidzeme war. Den Schlosskomplex bilden ein großer Park und ein Waldpark aus dem 19. Jh. mit Anpflanzungen von ausländischen Pflanzenarten, der künstlich gebildete See Bīriņu ezers, die im Jahr 1814 gebaute Gruft mit dem Grabstein der Grafen von Mellin (um 1835), eine Wassermühle, das Haus des Verwalters, Pferdeställe und andere Gebäude. An dem Schloss sind Obelisken aufgestellt, die A. Pistolkors und N. Pistolkors gewidmet sind. Bis heute hat sich in dem Schloss die wertvolle dekorative Innenausstattung aus dem 19. Jh. erhalten. Das Schloss von Bīriņi wurde am Anfang des 20. Jhs. laut den Plänen des Architekten Rudolf Heinrich Zirkwitz umgebaut. Von 1926 bis 1995 befand sich in dem Schloss ein Sanatorium. Heute werden in dem Schlosskomplex verschiedene Veranstaltungen organisiert, hier befinden sich ein Hotel, ein Restaurant und ein Museum.

“We educate, create feelings and inspire people.”  Those are the key concepts of the “Mūsu avenes” raspberry farm.

The farm specialises in summer and autumn raspberries, but it also grows quince, honeysuckle, mulberry, rhubarb and various seasonal vegetables.

Owners of the farm began to offer informative and interactive tours in 2023.  Learn how the farm is run, what it bases its work on, and how it ensures bio-economics and a circulation economy.  You’ll also learn details about how to grow and pick raspberries.  A special mood is created by a cupola tent at the farm which offers visitors a chance to enjoy and unrivalled surrounding landscape.

You can rent the cupola for a special and unusual site for celebrations or a photo session.  The cupola on the raspberry farm will be an excellent choice.
