On Wednesday, November 1, at 10:00, "Lauku Ceļotājs" brought together the owners of accommodation, taverns, restaurants, rural goods shops and food producers of the Kurzeme region for an info seminar at the guest house "Garīkas", Skrunda municipality, to introduce the idea, goals and opportunities for participation of the culinary road "Taste of Livonia". The seminar participants were only introduced to the participation criteria and benefits. Culinary heritage experts spoke about the "imprints" of the Livonian era in modern cuisine and tastes.

"The Taste of Livonia" is a culinary tourism route that will begin on the western coast of Courland, wind through Vidzeme all the way to southern Estonia, and tell the story of the influence of the Livonian era on modern Latvian and Estonian cuisine, pointing out the commonalities in our cuisines and the differences between each region. The route will be attractive not only to domestic guests, but also to gourmets from near and far abroad.
