1st day / Arrival in Rīga
Arrival.
Optional: pick up the hired car.
Free time in Rīga sightseeing.
Overnight in hotel in Rīga.
Ķemeru tīrelis
2nd day / Rīga –Jūrmala – Kolka (~198km, 100% asphalt)
Breakfast.
Sites and attractions en route:
•Jūrmala, the largest resort town in the Baltic States, with its treasures - sandy beach and charming wooden houses
•Boardwalk in the “Lielais Ķemeru tīrelis” bog - the 3km long trail is winding trough the mosses and little bog lakes
•The lake Engure nature park with the “Orchid trail” (3.5km) and bird watching towers offering a great view over the surroundings
•Stony beach with small bays stretching from Ķirkrags to Kaltene villages (5km)
•The Kolka horn – a place where waves of the Riga gulf cross with waves from Baltic sea
Overnight in the guest house in Kolka.
Kolka
3rd day / Kolka - Ventspils -Pāvilosta (~119km, 100% asphalt)
Breakfast.
Sites and attractions en route:
•The Slītere National park with coastline forests, nature trails, old ancient fishermen villages of the Livi – a nationality once populating the shores of the Baltic sea and striving to maintain their identity today. A “Boat cemetery” and the second oldest light house in Latvia
•Harbour town Ventspils
•Steep banks of the Baltic sea at Jūrkalne
Overnight in the guest house in Pāvilosta.
4th day / Pāvilosta - Palanga - Kretinga (~156km, 100% asphalt)
Breakfast.
Sites and attractions en route:
•Farm where owners raise various kinds of ostriches from South America and Africa
•In Palanga: the Amber museum, the Bothanical Park, the Sea Bridge, beach and J.Basanavičiaus gatve – pedestrian street
Overnight in the guest house in Kretinga.
5th day / Kretinga - Klaipeda - Nida (~75km, 100% asphalt)
Breakfast.
Sites and attractions en route:
•The Klaipeda old town
•The Curonian Spit, the Maritime museum and the Witch hill in Joudkrante
•The Nida shoreline promenade
Overnight in the hotel in Nida.


6th day / Nida - Klaipeda - Liepaja (~155km, 100% asphalt)
Breakfast.    
Sites and attractions en route:
•The Pape nature park with nature trails, the bird watching tower and herd of wild horses
•Liepaja town
Overnight in the hotel in Liepaja.

7th day / Liepaja - Kuldīga - Riga (~370km, 100% asphalt)
Breakfast.
Sites and attractions en route:
•The Abava valley nature park, the open air museum of art at Pedvāle
•The  wine hill in Sabile
•The Jaunmoku castle
Overnight the hotel in Rīga.

8th day / Riga
Breakfast.
Individual departure or extra days in Riga or in the countryside in Latvia.
