Sauna Museum is a private open-air museum founded in 2008. It is located 40 km from Riga by the Murjāņi - Saulkrasti road. The exhibition consists of six historic and one newly built sauna. They all work, but the hosts recommend to enjoy the black sauna.

Befindet sich am linken Ufer des Flusses Venta, 0,1 km nordwestlich von der Brücke über der Venta auf der Landstraße Rīga–Liepaja (A 9). Es ist eine Wallanlage der Ahnen, auf der sich in den 14 – 18 Jahrhunderten eine Ordensburg befand (vernichtet im Großen Nordischen Krieg). Bis heutzutage ist es nichts davon geblieben. Ein auf der Wallanlage im Jahre 1987 errichteter Konzertpavillon ist heute ein populärer Veranstaltungsplatz. Der Konzertpavillon befindet sich inmitten des Parks mit den vom Bildhauer Ģ. Burvis errichteten Holzthronen der ersten Kurischen Könige. Es ist eine Aufsichtsplattform eingerichtet. Es besteht eine Sage über diese Wallanlage – sowohl über unterirdische Gänge, als auch über die Weiße Frau, die ein Mal pro 100 Jahre erscheint.

The craftsman produces wooden dishware and other products, making use of many local species of trees. The technique is unusual and reveals the specific texture of timber. The artist has masterfully integrated amber, bone and animal horn in his dishware. He also engraves spoons with ethnographic signs. Latviešu dzejnieka Viļa Plūdoņa (1874. – 1940.) memoriālais muzejs dibināts 1968. g. viņa dzimtajās mājās „Lejeniekos”. Zemgales daba un vecmātes stāsti būtiski ietekmēja nākamā dzejnieka daiļradi. Šeit nokļuvušie var apskatīt ratu un etnogrāfisko priekšmetu kolekciju, izstaigāt Plūdoņa taku vai apmeklēt dzejnieka un viņa radinieku atdusas vietu netālu esošajos kapos. Bērniem noteikti jāiegriežas “Zaķīšu pirtiņā”.

This pyramid-shaped hillock with an observation tower at the top of it was established by the Soviet military. It is along the Ķevele-Saldus road, where the Zvārde airfield used to be located. It was used as an observation facility to co-ordinate army training manoeuvres. There is a view of the former airfield and the massive forests of the Zvārde Nature Park and nature reserve. It is an appropriate location for bird-watching. Note that there are no improvements there.
