Die Route ist für aktive Fußgänger geeignet, die auf ihrer Reise sowohl Landschaften, als auch die Gefühle des Tales des eindrucksvollsten Flusses der baltischen Länder genießen möchten. Die Route beginnt in Sigulda, die historisch als die Schweiz der Region Kurzeme genannt wurde. In der Umgebung von Sigulda kann man einige der schönsten Landschaften Lettlands genießen. Die Route überquert mehrere tiefe Täler der Nebenflüsse von Gauja und legt die Ufer des Flusses frei, die im Baltikum mit seinen Sandsteinfelsen der Devonperiode bekannt sind. Die Naturpfade von Līgatne ist der einzige Ort in Lettland, wo in waldiger Umgebung, unter naturnahen Umständen und in großen Pferchen unseren Wäldern charakteristische Tierarten wohnen, die Besucher besichtigen können. Befindet sich am Rande der Landstraße P 100 (unweit von der Landstraße A 8, Richtung Ozolnieki und Jelgava). Das Denkmal ist den Schützen des 6. Rigaer Infanterie-Regiments gewidmet, die am 17. November 1919 im Kampf gegen der Truppen der Bermondts Armee nahe der ehemaligen Schule Skujas gefallen und vermisst wurden. Das Denkmal (Autor – Nikolajs Voits, Autor des Flachreliefs – Mārtiņš Šmalcs, Berater – Kārlis Zāle) wurde am 24. Oktober 1937 eröffnet und 2009 erneuert. |

The Bauska Castle contains a collection of cast iron cannons which date back to the latter half of the 17th century and the beginning of the 18th century. They were manufactured in the Duchy of Courland. The cannons that are in the garden of the castle were not found there – they were found in different locations in Zemgale. Four of the largest cannons came from Jaunsvirlauka, where they were found on the banks of the Lielupe River opposite Emburga. They are the best preserved weapons of their type in Latvia. The only cannon that was found in the castle itself is currently in its South-eastern tower as a thematic exhibit. When it was being cleaned, two cannonballs were found in the weapons. The local Livonian Order castle is in ruins, but it and its defensive structures, including earthen ramparts that were installed from the mid-15th until the early 18th century, represent an important element of Latvia’s military heritage.

Одно из относительно немногих городищ по берегам Даугавы, не поросших деревьями и кустами, поэтому на фоне ландшафта округи хорошо выделяется классическая форма городища. Дигнайское городище было заселено в разные периоды, но своего расцвета достигло в период с 5-го по 9-й века, когда на этом месте находился значимый центр. Находки свидетельствуют, что Дигнайское городище заселяли племена латгалов. После вторжения крестоносцев на городище был построен орденский замок, не сохранившийся до наших дней. Существуют легенды о том, что под городищем когда-то был подземный ход. С городища открывается красивый вид на долину Даугавы. На городище сохранились окопы времен Первой мировой войны. У подножия городища находилось поселение. |

В 1242 году на этом месте немецкий орден построил каменный замок, от которого до сегодняшнего времени сохранились только отдельные фрагменты стен и свод подвала, в котором по предварительной договоренности можно заказать дегустацию вина местного производства. В более поздние времена здесь находился замок герцога Курземе, который был разрушен во время Северной войны (1701 год). В результате проекта реконструкции парка созданы деревянные мостки, информационные стенды, построена беседка и фонтан. В парке возведены отдельные скульптуры и их группы (22 скульптуры, автор Ливия Разевска). |

The Vilce Nature Park is small in size and exists alongside the deep valleys of the Vilce River and its tributaries. Biotopes include visible sandstone cliffs, rapids on the rivers, forests typical of such areas, and the plants and animals that are found therein. The well-appointed Vilce castle hill is next to the Zaķu meadow, which is a nicely appointed and popular place for recreation. |

This is a comparatively large lake (3 km long and 1.3 km wide). It is shallow (no more than 1.1 m deep) and is classified as a seashore lake. The Vecslocene River flows through it. At the southern end, there is a narrow stream which connects Lake Sloka with Aklo Lake – a shallow and small lake with a dolomite bed at some locations. The best view of Lake Sloka can be seen from the bird watching tower on its north-western shore. This is the only floating bird watching tower in Latvia. Alongside it is the beginning of the 3 km Lake Sloka hiking trail, which passes through the flooded wetlands of the lower reaches of the Vēršupīte. An information stand can be found on the shore of Lake Sloka by the car park. Beyond it is a sulphurous spring. |

Atrodas pie Līvānu dzelzceļa stacijas, Dzelzceļa ielā 17. Tā kā Līvānos nebija luterāņu baznīcas, draudze dievkalpojumus noturēja ugunsdzēsēju depo. 1929. gadā ielika dievnama pamatakmeni un pēc trīs gadiem pabeidza pašas ēkas celtniecību. Saglabājušās ziņas, ka padomju laikā baznīcā bija plānots iekārtot sporta zāli un noliktavu, taču tas neticis īstenots. Jāpiemin, ka baznīca ir celta uz bijušās korķu fabrikas pamatiem.
