The “Dabas zirgi” centre for horse and human welfare is in the historical Mežinieku neighbourhood in suburban Rīga, and it will be a revelation to those who wish to have a sense of belonging related to Latvia and its environment.  Touch the forest, enjoy the cool water of the Misa River, encounter a swamp or see the breath of a horse on a foggy morning.

You’re welcome to spend a longer amount of time at this venue with new glamping opportunities in a lovely forested area next to the steep shores of the Misa River.  This offers complete silence with only the woods and the river nearby.  Along with the horses, of course.

“Dabas zirgi” offers strolls with a horse, tours involving feeding the animals, as well as horseback rides.  Family celebrations are perfect here with a lean-to, a grill, and a pot on a campfire.  Contact the venue in advance to arrange for prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner.  There is also a sauna with a jacuzzi.

Auf den umliegenden Feldern der Wirtschaft, die in dem Dienerhaus des ehemaligen Landgutes von Ķempēni haust, weiden mehr als 200 Lettische Schwarzköpfige Schafe (diese Rasse wurde in Lettland in den 1920er bis 1930er Jahren gezüchtet). Suitsu tornis celts 1979. g. kā pirmais Matsalu rezervāta metāla tornis. To atjaunoja 1998. g. Torņa augstums ir 21 m, tādēļ no tā paveras izcila dabas un kultūrainava uz Kazari deltas niedrājiem un blakus esošo Suitsu upi (Suitsu jõgi), kuras krastā ir uzceltas vairākas zvejnieku laivu būdas.

Plungė ist berühmt für der Park der Fürsten  Oginski. Der Park im gemischten Stil wurde im 18.-19. Jh. anstelle eines vormals heiligen Bannwalds eingerichtet. Prunkstück des Parks sind eine der ältesten und mächtigsten Donnereichen (Perkunaseiche) in Litauen, die legendenumwobene Weinende Weide, die fünfstämmige Esche. Auf Geheiß des Fürsten Oginski wurden 7 Teiche in Kaskaden angelegt, verbunden mit steinernen Schleusen-Brücken. Ein besonderen Akzent für die Landschaft setzt das durchfließende Flüsschen Babrungas.
