С мая 2016 года в большом здании Сарканской школы работает Открытое хранилище этнографии и предметов быта Мадонского краеведческого и художественного музея. Здесь есть возможность увидеть, искать и найти прошедшее время, о чем рассказывают предметы, расположенные в уже оборудованных помещениях. Здесь можно увидеть предметы, которые еще не выставлялись в музейных экспозициях и выставках, а школьники, студенты, ремесленники, любой желающий может ознакомиться с ними в исследовательских целях (автор: Инесе Сударе).

Паулс Сукатниекс (1914 - 1989) - первый селекционер винограда жил и работал в «Апситес». В настоящее время жилой дом восстановлен, в нем представлены предметы быта и другие предметы, используемые на сельском дворе, а также библиотека и мастерская П. Сукатниека. Вокруг «Апситес» разбит ухоженный сад, где можно увидеть как местные, так и привезенные сорта декоративных растений, кустарников и деревьев, в т.ч. и редко встречающиеся. Можно осмотреть и ознакомиться с селекционированными П. Сукатниеком сортами винограда и виноградником. Рядом с домом расположен информационный стенд о наблюдении за птицами в пойме Двиете. Желающие могут ознакомиться с садом и с «Апситес» в сопровождении гида. В саду оборудовано место для отдыха и пикника, проводятся толоки (субботники) и образовательные мероприятия

A small and forested territory with sulphurous springs, among which the most popular one is the Ellīte sulphur spring. It has sulphurous water with a low level of minerals, and the water supposedly has medicinal properties. The area around the stream is well-appointed, and a pathway leads to it. The stream is considered to be the source of the Iecava River. The restricted area is there to protect biotopes and protected plants which are in the area.

The Krustkalni Nature Reserve was established in 1977, and the diversity of plants in the region is based both on the terrain – the Madona-Trepe embankment, a series of hillocks with low areas among them, swamps and small lakes – and on the biotope – natural meadows, forest glades, places where underground streams bubble up to the surface, and vast areas of forest with very old stands of trees. Some 800 types of plants have been defined in the reserve. It can be toured only in the company of a guide from reserve headquarters, and one must apply in advance. Visitors can visit the Krāku streams, Lake Svēte-Dreimaņi, and other sites.

This area was established to protect the cultural and lake-related landscapes of the central section of the Vidzeme highlands, with Lake Alauksts, Lake Inesis, Lake Tauns, etc., with their species and biotopes.  There are many important cultural objects in this territory – the Vecpiebalga Lutheran Church, the Vecpiebalga castle ruins, the Vecpiebalga baronial estate, as well as locations where several distinguished figures from the Latvian world of culture have lived and worked.  Memorial museums have been established to commemorate them.  The lakes are great for fishing, and cross-country competitions are traditionally held in the area of Lake Alauksts during the winter.  The Sproģi nature reserve has been established on the islands and peninsula of Lake Inesis.

Since 1820 people have been brewing Estonian beer here using local ingredients, like groundwater, yeast and others. The Saku Brewhouse name comes from the previous brewery that worked until 1992. The brewhouse also has a museum where you can see beer production from centuries ago until this very day. During the tour it is possible to taste freshly made beer. Minors are not allowed to participate in the tour.

The tower is at the western end of the Seda swamp, accessed from the side of Jērcēni. Transport is limited here. The tower is in the area of the swamp where peat moss is extracted. It offers a broad view of the ponds of Seda and a boat rental facility that is nearby. It is an appropriate location for bird-watching during the season of migration. There is another bird-watching platform near the town of Seda. This is part of the ZBR.

Музей основан в 2000 году, и важная часть его экспозиции находится в бывшем здании железнодорожного депо узкоколейной железной дороги (строительство завершено в 1948 г., железная дорога действовала с 1916 по 1972 г.), где находится восстановленный локомотив, пассажирский вагон, дрезина и др.
