One of the few pure stands of oak trees in Latvia, this one covers 19.6 ha, and it was declared to be a protected territory back in 1928.  The oldest trees are 300 to 400 years old.  The stand of trees can be found alongside the Ezernieki-Andzeļi road.  There is a small car park, along with a hiking trail, an information stand, and a leisure area with a plank from which the northern bay and islands of Lake Ežezers can be seen very well.  There are typical species of plants, mushrooms and insects here, but only a specialist will be able to recognise them.

Поля с лекарственными растениями сельского хозяйства «Курмиши» расположены в экологически чистом природном парке «Даугавас локи» и на территории охраняемой ландшафтной зоны «Аугшдаугава». Чтобы не уничтожить природные места произрастания лекарственных трав, уже с 1994 года на полях «Курмиши» выращиваются около 40 видов и сортов лекарственных растений. Энтузиастам выращивания лекарственных трав и туристам предлагается узнать секреты выращивания и приготовления лекарственных трав. После экскурсии имеется возможность попробовать и приобрести травяные чаи «Курмишу», которые наиболее вкусны с медом, собранных пчелами с растущих в хозяйстве лекарственных трав. Особую атмосферу создают свечи из пчелиного воска. В хозяйстве оборудованы места для отдыха, мастерская восковых свечей, можно приобрести сувениры из богатого предложения восковых поделок, посетить пчелиную пасеку. Хозяин предлагает также экскурсии по хозяйству в сопровождении гида.

One of the rare places (see also Rucavas ivju audze) in Latvia where two rare and protected wild tree species grow - yew-tree and Baltic ivy. Territory is not marked on site with information signs or stands. Territory is not suitable for visitors as visitor without environmental knowledge will see “regular” forest. On the East side of the restricted area is located extending low wall – former narrow gauge railway (600 mm, length 41 km) line Dulbeni – Rucava. Railway was built by German military forces with the goal – to export wood.

The recently renovated old brick bridge and the viewing area that is on the left bank of the Venta beyond the castle guard’s hut offers a lovely view of the widest and most impressive waterfall in Latvia – the Venta falls. It is worth visiting during the spring floods, when fish are migrating.

The Ukri forest on the border of the Dobele district is what is known as a vast forest. It has oak trees (including many huge ones), linden trees, oak trees (large stands of oak are uncommon in Latvia), and other deciduous trees. A small area of the forest can be toured in the company of a guide to look at the animals of the area and their importance in the flow of nature. The restricted area protects forest habitats, plants and animals, including many that are typical of the southern areas of Latvia.

Пурмальский валун является одним из самых больших в Резекненском крае и одним из двадцати больших в Латвии. Находится в излучине на крутом склоне с деревьями и зарослями. Камень был разрушен выломанными брешами, которые теперь образовали большие ступени. Камень залег на крутом склоне, что еще больше увеличивает его пейзажность. Обхват его 18,5 м; высота 3,2 м; длина 5,6 м; ширина 4,7 м; объем над поверхностью земли около 30 куб.м.

This is a cemetery that was originated in the Middle Ages and used until the beginning of the 20th century.  A mossy stone fence surrounds the cemetery.  Interesting elements in the cemetery include the grave of Heinrihs Jakobsons (1832-1911), who was the first schoolteacher in Mazirbe (the old metal cross is to the left of the main gate), a pine tree of national importance and has a circumference of 3.17 metres (during the Soviet Union someone drilled a hole in the trunk of the tree to access honey), the grave of Niks Freimanis (1845-1908), who is said to have been the prototype for a character in a story and play by Marģers Zariņš, and the Werewolf Grave, which relates to countless ghost stories, including the claim that it is the only known gravesite of a werewolf in Latvia.

Atrodas 0,1 km ziemeļos no Dobeles pilsdrupām - laukumā starp Tērvetes ielu un Liepājas šoseju. Tas veltīts 1. pasaules karā un Latvijas Brīvības cīņās kritušajiem kareivjiem. 1940. g. pilsētas Vienības laukumā atklāto pieminekli (tēlnieks K. Zemdega) desmit gadus vēlāk uzspridzināja, bet 1996. g. atklāja no jauna (tēlniece I. Berga). Laukumā apskatāms 1989. g. uzstādītais piemiņas akmens (tēlnieks M. A small and forested territory with sulphurous springs, among which the most popular one is the Ellīte sulphur spring. It has sulphurous water with a low level of minerals, and the water supposedly has medicinal properties. The area around the stream is well-appointed, and a pathway leads to it. The stream is considered to be the source of the Iecava River. The restricted area is there to protect biotopes and protected plants which are in the area.
